2 of my last commanders had master degrees, and the third had a caltech phd and was a rocket scientist at JPL. I had an E4 once who was a Hollywood producer with a USC masters. He did some of the cop shows in the 90s. Another E4 in my unit had starred in a major movie. It was a pleasure to show up to my unit knowing I was going to learn something every day.
