Comrades, it has been my plan to take a break from Ushanka after the Trump victory.  I always admired people who 'get out on top,' and if this isn't the top in the fight against Communists and their useful idiots, I can't imagine what is.

Last October marked Ushanka's 10th year.  The Democrat Party's Communist take-over attempt has inspired over 3,960 Ushanka posts, first in 2006 with Pelosi as Speaker, then in 2008 with Obama.  Their election victories did not lead to the takeover they wanted, and Trump's victory promises to reverse some of the damage the Democrats have done to our country. I am very optimistic.

The fight against the Communist-inspired masses will continue.  My new focus will be on projects similar to Ushanka.  To succeed, I must walk away from the fun distraction that is the daily Ushanka posts.  I will update the left column with new book reviews and other items as they happen.  It is just the daily posts - this right side - where I am taking a break.

Three things, Comrades:
1) The Ushanka Maxim: A Communist takeover is impossible where traditional family values and religious values prevail.  View every liberal act to lower standards as an effort to dilute one or both of these values.  And crush it with vengeance.

2) Even though America narrowly missed a '1000 years of darkness' event with the Trump win, others still suffer.  Please consider giving to Liberty in North Korea (LiNK) to help those who have risked all to escape the worst Communist state on the planet.
3) Be sure to visit the great minds at the blogs listed in the Blogroll at the left.  Good people.

President Trump

[orig post 1pm Jan. 20, 2017]

Taking the oath:

Inauguration Speech:

Transcript (emphasis mine):

Chief Justice Roberts, President Carter, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, fellow Americans and people of the world, thank you.

We, the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and restore its promise for all of our people.

Together, we will determine the course of America and the world for many, many years to come. We will face challenges. We will confront hardships. But we will get the job done.

Every four years we gather on these steps to carry out the orderly and peaceful transfer of power.

And we are grateful to President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama for their gracious aid throughout this transition.

They have been magnificent.

Thank you.

Today's ceremony, however, has a very special meaning because today we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another or from one party to another, but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C., and giving it back to you, the people.

For too long, a small group in our nation's capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have bore the cost. Washington flourished, but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered but the jobs left and the factories closed.

The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories. Their triumphs have not been your triumphs. And while they celebrated in our nation's capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land.

That all changes starting right here and right now
, because this moment is your moment.

It belongs to you.

It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across America.

This is your day.

This is your celebration.

And this, the United States of America, is your country.

What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people.

January 20th, 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.

The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer. Everyone is listening to you now. You came by the tens of millions to become part of a historic movement, the likes of which the world has never seen before.

At the center of this movement is a crucial conviction that a nation exists to serve its citizens. Americans want great schools for their children, safe neighborhoods for their families and good jobs for themselves.

These are just and reasonable demands of righteous people and a righteous public.

But for too many of our citizens, a different reality exists.

Mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities, rusted out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation.

An education system flush with cash but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of all knowledge.

And the crime and the gangs and the drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential. This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.

We are one nation, and their pain is our pain.

Their dreams are our dreams, and their success will be our success. We share one heart, one home and one glorious destiny.

The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans.

For many decades we've enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry, subsidized the armies of other countries while allowing for the very sad depletion of our military.

We've defended other nations' borders while refusing to defend our own. And we've spent trillions and trillions of dollars overseas while America's infrastructure has fallen into disrepair and decay.

We've made other countries rich while the wealth, strength and confidence of our country has dissipated over the horizon.

One by one, the factories shuttered and left our shores with not even a thought about the millions and millions of American workers that were left behind.

The wealth of our middle class has been ripped from their homes and then redistributed all across the world. But that is the past, and now we are looking only to the future.
We assembled here today are issuing a new decree to be heard in every city, in every foreign capital and in every hall of power. From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land.

From this day forward, it's going to be only America first, America first. Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign affairs will be made to benefit American workers and American families. We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our product, stealing our companies and destroying our jobs.

Protection will lead to great prosperity and strength. I will fight for you with every breath in my body, and I will never ever let you down.

America will start winning again, winning like never before.

We will bring back our jobs.

We will bring back our borders.

We will bring back our wealth, and we will bring back our dreams.

We will build new roads and highways and bridges and airports and tunnels and railways all across our wonderful nation.

We will get our people off of welfare and back to work, rebuilding our country with American hands and American labor.

We will follow two simple rules: Buy American and hire American.

We will seek friendship and goodwill with the nations of the world, but we do so with the understanding that it is the right of all nations to put their own interests first.

We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example.

We will shine for everyone to follow.

We will re-enforce old alliances and form new ones and unite the civilized world against radical Islamic terrorism, which we will eradicate completely from the face of the earth.

At the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country we will rediscover our loyalty to each other.

When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice.

The Bible tells us how good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity. We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity. When America is united, America is totally unstoppable. There should be no fear. We are protected and we will always be protected. We will be protected by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement. And most importantly, we will be protected by God.

Finally, we must think big and dream even bigger. In America, we understand that a nation is only living as long as it is striving. We will no longer accept politicians who are all talk and no action, constantly complaining but never doing anything about it.

The time for empty talk is over. Now arrives the hour of action.

Do not allow anyone to tell you that it cannot be done. No challenge can match the heart and fight and spirit of America. We will not fail. Our country will thrive and prosper again.

We stand at the birth of a new millennium, ready to unlock the mysteries of space, to free the earth from the miseries of disease, and to harness the energies, industries and technologies of tomorrow.

A new national pride will stir ourselves, lift our sights and heal our divisions. It's time to remember that old wisdom our soldiers will never forget, that whether we are black or brown or white, we all bleed the same red blood of patriots.

We all enjoy the same glorious freedoms and we all salute the same great American flag.

And whether a child is born in the urban sprawl of Detroit or the windswept plains of Nebraska, they look up at the same night sky, they fill their heart with the same dreams and they are infused with the breath of life by the same almighty creator.

So to all Americans in every city near and far, small and large, from mountain to mountain, from ocean to ocean, hear these words: You will never be ignored again. Your voice, your hopes and your dreams will define our American destiny. And your courage and goodness and love will forever guide us along the way.

Together we will make America strong again, we will make America wealthy again, we will make America proud again, we will make America safe again.

And, yes, together we will make America great again.

Thank you.

God bless you.

And God bless America."

That speech was nothing less than an indictment against Obama's 8 years of reign.  As it should be.

Congratulations President Trump.

Signing his first executive order, in the Oval Office.

It begins.

UPDATED 1.20.18:

GP has a list of Trump's first year accomplishments, which includes:

Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch,
Tax Reform, with ObamaCare Mandate repeal,
Highest GDP ever,
Defeating ISIS,
Reversing Obama climate BS,
Pipelines and drilling,
The first President to speak at the March for Life,
and more.

Basically, President Trump has been the anti-Obama.  What was either seen by America's commie left as impossible, a low priority, or unlikely for many liberal and anti-American reasons, Trump has done it.  With ease.  His results have matched his bold statements of his inauguration address above.

I spent 2017 wanting to relive 2016. That was a fun year!  (My election night post)  There are many reasons in 2018 why I'd want to relive 2017 too.  But with the momentum of year one, I think the thing to do is to celebrate each new accomplishment as it happens.  I hope you are having as much fun as I am.

Inauguration Day Cigar

Before you even ask, the answer is "Yes."

Yes, today's Rocky Patel Sun Grown tasted better than any before it.

Perhaps the cigar was so good because Comrade Zhukov sent me this photo from a Battalion HQ updated Chain of Command wall somewhere at Ft. Bragg.

Zhukov shares another gem:

Quiz: A Woman's Fall from Power

I haven't seen a face like this...

or this....

since Imelda lost her shoe collection, and...

Elena lost her trial.

What do all these women have in common?
A) None are missed.
B) A lust for power.
C) Disgraced.
D) Removed from power.
E) All of the above.

Changing of the Hats

FB Comrade Bill just posted this symbolic photo - just moments before Donald J. Trump takes his oath of office.

One hat replaces another.

And I'd have it no other way.

Today we celebrate.  For the EXACT SAME REASON these people celebrated 26 years ago:

Tomorrow, we start the hard work to Make America Great Again!

U/T: Bill

Not the Change They Hoped For

This doesn't convey the frustration and depression that comes with watching your country be sold out by an anti-American.  If you want to see that, just click through the history here at Ushanka.

But today is trash day, and America comes first again.

The State of the Inner City

From FreeAtLastPAC:

Here is a video I made 8 long years ago.  I wonder what that place looks like now.

Trump's promise of a border wall was the biggest campaign promise I'd ever heard.  Until he promised to turn things around in America's inner cities.  The only way I can imagine him doing so within 8 years is with school vouchers.  Make parents choose their children's schools and bypass the unions.  Will he do it?  Or will he waste tax payer money, or expect Ben Carson to do anything positive as the leader of the bureaucratic HUD?

U/T: FB Comrade Andy

Question of the Day

Found at Imgur:

Meanwhile, earlier today in DC:

The Obama Cuss Jar Project is Over!

Would you believe I saved $13,555 over the past 8 years by putting my single dollar bills into the Obama Cuss Jar, then investing most of that into precious metals?

Here is my last precious metals video:

UPDATED 3.30.17:

I have since converted the precious metals into something else:

Meme of the Day

and from the Ushanka archives:

If Obama disagreed with the 35-year sentence, why did he wait until his last week to commute it?

Bravo to Oleg at The People's Cube for the image above.  Spot on.

Cavuto and Stein discuss:

I have nothing to add.  Well . . . maybe this:
Let's just be honest here.

Obama commuted Manning's sentence because he has two things in common with the homosexual traitor.
And the commutation has little to do with Manning.  It was aimed at the military and the Americans that Obama despises.  He is a petty little man and ineffectual leader, and he needs to be sure everyone knows that before he leaves.
22 hours and counting . . .

For those worried about protesters disrupting President Trump's inauguration on Friday:

Aaaannd, it's Islam. Again.

 WZ just shared today's news:

So it wasn't PTSD as the family tried to explain.  Yes, the family of this guy:

That single finger sign is an ISIS sign.  The scarf is a hint too for those who need more proof the murder of five innocent people wasn't accidental.

And this is the ISIS agenda, in color:

More vacuous emptiness from the outgoing ineffective dear leader:

Still, not enough Americans killed for libs and MSM to admit Islam is a death cult and totalitarian political ideology disguised as a religion.   More must die.

Product Endorsement

Glorious Hat is no longer available for sale.  It is now a collector's item.

A hat owner posted this on FB today:

But if you have a few $$ burning a hole in your pocket, and you've already considered our favorite charity, Liberty in North Korea, you may want to look at these litho prints from McNaughton:

The late Mr. Breitbart was an inspiration.

I'm not one for political books, but I did read Breitbart's Righteous Indignation and it was excellent in its explanation of the origins of the Communist inspirations of the left.  (It is one of only two political books in the Ushanka Library at the left.)

Some of us can't wait for Friday...

Some of us can...

Which makes me wonder...

What will the BitterCruzingers and #NeverTrumpers be doing on Inauguration Day?

UPDATED 1.16.17 9pm:

Drudge just linked to this WP story.

The #NeverTrumpers think they've been "blacklisted" because they said "Trump Sucks!" during the primaries.  It's all about them.  Again.

The quickest way to Make America Great Again is for the #NeverTrumpers to sit this one out.

If they couldn't see Trump's appeal a year ago, what good would they be to us now in positions of responsibility?  Apparently, I'm not the only one asking this.

UPDATED 1.17.17 9pm:

A FB Comrade linked to the same story, but over at The Daily Caller.  Here are some of the comments on his post. "Like-minded" is an understatement!
The Never Trump Republicans are traitors and scumbags. These losers deserve to be spit on and rudely insulted, certainly not given a job in the Trump adminstration. The Trump people are very wise for not letting these slimy snakes to get a foot in the door! #MAGA

good there are every day american people that support trump that would like job

Draining the swamp!!

[Karl] They didn't promote their guy. They just told me how stupid I was for liking my guy. With judgement like that, what good would they be in the Trump administration?

Good, maybe these rent-seekers can find work doing something useful for a change.

Look, I understand BOTH sides of this one, but one thing truly stands out: Why in God's name would you expect to get a plum job working for a guy who you strenuously opposed just 2-3 short months ago?  How in the hell does that work?

They expect to be rewarded for their bad behavior????????

What do they expect? Obviously they were gullible enough to buy into the fake-stream media's distortions and so convinced as to speak out against MNr. Trumpo. I think that puts their judgement and objectivity in question big time.

They are the worst sort of scum and the least trustworthy. Worse than Liberals... since they are only just crazy

Actions have consequences. The turncoat Republicans end up in the same sinking ship as the Democrats.

The truth is that they are all "consultants". They earn big bucks doing nothing at all. The establishment parties paid them cause it's back scratching. But that's all over, the swamp will slowly drain out and these parasites will be exposed and removed.

Hammer and Sickle Sightings

I've had to work to find the Hammer and Sickle lately.  It is as if America is already Great Again.

Here are two that I recently found.

This one is worth a thousand words, as they say.  I like the umbrella of nationalism protecting a family with a father and mother.  The rainbow of filth is not how I view the threats.  I see only the red, and all those other items (Europe, Gay, BLM, etc.) are just tactics in the Communist-inspired strategy of the left.  Last, I can imagine some worthless lib pointing to the 'white family' and making this a racial issue.  Such small-mindedness ignores the fact that many non-white have successfully assimilated into the American way of life and embrace both the family and religious values that made this country the most successful on the planet in the shortest amount of time.  And we did it with libs gumming-up the works all along the way.  My $0.02.

This would go a long way towards Making America Great Again.  But how about we keep CA and just ship the libs to Canada?  A bit bold by some peoples' standards, but the Internet is about ideas and I want to do my part.

Internet Dump

The creativity among my Internet comrades has exceeded the production quota for Ushanka's 2nd Five Year Plan.  Here are just the best from this past week:

John Lewis

 Democrat John Lewis:

He once had political capital, then he faced a decision:
1) Use the political capital to help his constituents (60% black), or
2) Sell his political capital for personal profit.
Are the blacks in Atlanta better now than they were eight years ago when a fellow black took office?

How about THIRTY YEARS ago when Lewis first started representing them?

If not, perhaps it is time to try something different.

Perhaps we could try to Make America Great Again.

And if it doesn't work, we can always go back to perpetual welfare, abortion as birth control, single-parents, fake religion and government/union-run education.  Those are always the easy options.

Gun Rap

Max Best just posted his latest music video.  Splendid as always:

Check out his movie from last year, Range 15:  zombies meet goofy war veterans with a GoFundMe budget.

Russian Art and Photo

English Russia has a couple cool photo albums posted.

Visual Arts of the USSR: Aviation.  Here are a couple that stood out:

Artist Antonov Sergey Georgievich (1932-2006) "Strong in Spirit" 1974

A painting of two Soviet pilots wearing ushankas.  Artist Tureckiy Boris Zaharovich (1928-1997) "Pilot" 1968

And photos from five Russian ghost towns.  Halmer-U, a former mining town:

Visegrad 4

I post this strong message of nationalism and security from Hungary because, for just another week, no such leader exists here in the States.  These seven minutes of sub-titles are worth watching:

Hungary is one of the few European countries that has blocked muslim migration into their country.  For this reason, the President can brag (4:30 mark):
We do not have terrorism, do not have mass rapes.
Nobody drives trucks into celebrating masses.

Our Comrade, Citizen Forney, is now living in Hungary.  He is closer to his fellow Right-On colleagues there, where nationalism and the Alt-Right enjoy friendly surroundings.  Be sure to tune into Forney's "This Alt-Right Life" weekly podcasts to hear about his recent move and for news on nationalist momentum there and around the globe.

Hungary is one of four countries in a security alliance called The Visegrad 4, an alliance that spans far wider than just immigration issues.  Wiki:
The Visegrad Group, also called the Visegrad Four, or V4 is a cultural and political alliance of four Central European states – Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia – for the purposes of furthering their European integration, as well as for advancing military, economic and energy cooperation with one another.

Austria, with its recent surge in nationalism, might be the fifth Visegrad country.

Good.  If we can't align against a totalitarian political ideology that embraces terror, rape and murder, and fools only the useful idiots that it is a religion, what can we align against?
