A Teacher's Perspective

Since our dear leader and his ilk are pushing the race card in everything from the Zimmerman trial to taxing services that strictly cater to white customers (sun tan parlors), it is helpful to do what we've been told is right.  Specifically, have a dialogue about race.

A high school teacher from the SouthEast who teaches in a prodominately black high school has offered such dialogue.  To get it out, the teacher had to self publish on Craigslist.  It has since gone viral.

Here is just a small piece of the teacher's perspective:

Some readers may believe that I have drawn a cruel caricature of black students. After all, according to official figures some 85 percent of them graduate. It would be instructive to know how many of those scraped by with barely a C- record. They go from grade to grade and they finally get their diplomas because there is so much pressure on teachers to push them through. It saves money to move them along, the school looks good, and the teachers look good.

Many of these children should have been failed, but the system would crack under their weight if they were all held back.

How did my experiences make me feel about blacks? Ultimately, I lost sympathy for them. In so many ways they seem to make their own beds. There they were in an integrationist’s fantasy–in the same classroom with white students, eating the same lunch, using the same bathrooms, listening to the same teachers–and yet the blacks fail while the whites pass.

There was a time when we thought good things could happen in and for the black community if word got out about to what political party slaveholders belonged.  Or what political party destroyed the black family.  Or what political party filibustered the civil rights legislation.  Or what political party uses the 95% automatic vote but gives nothing in return but angst and promises.

But alas - we were pretty naive back then.

The teacher's advice to parents of white children:

For those of you with children, better a smaller house in a white district than a fancy one near a black school.

I have been in parent-teacher conferences that broke my heart: the child pleading with his parents to take him out of school; the parents convinced their child’s fears are groundless. If you love your child, show her you care — not by giving her fancy vacations or a car, but making her innocent years safe and happy. Give her the gift of a not-heavily black school.

Is that horrible, or what?!

The solution to this problem will take generations, will be an in-your-face slugfest, and will need leadership and determination that our political system hasn't seen.  You think Boehner or McCain can help these people?

We think a full voucher system is a good start, but admit that is only a start.

Updated 8pm:

A FB Comrade and a Commie Obama Hat owner has offered this:

The Black community attempted to assimilate into the American culture after WWII but then the Socialists/Communists saw that DIVIDING the races in America was a way to take over our country. By the mid 60s, there were enough of the "Community Organizer" types, along with the Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton con-men, to get race hatred whipped to a frenzy. THEN, Blacks, coached by others, made their OWN "Culture" which has come to fruition of late.

Unless there is a MASSIVE movement or change in the Black families and communities, there will NEVER be a whole country called America. As it stands, we have two completely disparate cultures that cannot, by the nature of the Black's way of life, live together in trust and peace. They have become what Muslim emigrants have been for YEARS - a foreign culture foisted upon a nation without any possible way of assimilating.

The most RACIST PEOPLE in America today are Blacks. Anyone not accepting that truth is not in touch with the Reality of the now.

UPDATED 7.2 9am:

Three comments from three FB Comrades, at least one of which is a hat owner, and all of which we know to be in the top 10% of Americans who care about this country and ALL of its citizens:

I worked in black ghetto neighborhoods for 25 years and this man speaks 100% the truth. They are animals with no regard for each other, anyone's property or human life. And you ask who is to blame? Our government.

The government enables and fosters this behavior to retain political power - they have their thirty pieces of silver - I hope giving up their souls was worth it.

Corruption breeds corruption.  Institutional failure breeds institutional failure.

It's not the American black culture

It is the blacks themselves.

See also: Africa.

Some can overcome their racial issues. Most cannot.

B, thanks for visiting.

I have to assume you have an idea that further qualifies your comments. But until that is conveyed I must disagree with it on face value.

I follow the same philosophy as GW did of Iraqis and Afghans: all humans are capable of governing themselves. The flaw in this logic is that it assumes the masses have basic common-sense intellect groomed by adequate education. I would argue this may be missing from the black communities both in the US and in some African nations. This may be the point you were making.

Iraqis, Afghans and many African nations all have had one common element: a strong-arm tyrant (or series of tyrants) who ruled by force and confiscated the nations' wealth. I think the new governments in Iraq and Afghanistan are meeting the challenges, albeit it is messier than GW and other optimists had expected. I may be the only/last one, but I stand with this philosophy.

I'm disgusted by what the Democrat party has done to the black family. These are lives wasted. In our neighborhoods!

I don't want to spend money to fix this. In fact, the removal of money (subprime, welfare, EBT, housing, etc. aka "tough love") is the only solution I can come up with.
