Trust

"If you don't trust me with my body, why should I trust you with my country?"

If some people will do THIS to the most helpless among us, what else do they have planned? What else are they capable of?

If some people will blindly support an organization founded by the people who gave Hitler the idea of eugenics which was the cornerstone of his genocide, how can anyone trust their judgement?

Exactly! I've found people (including me) are attached to their ideology. Over religion. Over friends even.

This attachment, when the attachment is to an evil and immoral ideology, is the enabling feature that Anon above speaks of. When a majority of the population share this attachment in a democracy, bad things happen.

The flaw in the Hitler analogy, however, is Hitler's Germany had two political options: Communism or Fascism. People saw what was happening in Russia, and Hitler was quick to inflame these thoughts. He had 1% backing in 1929, and took a majority just a few years later.

Unlike Lenin, Hitler earned his position in a democracy.

We too have two choices this election, but different than Germany's. We can continue on the path to Communism, or we can reverse that direction back towards Liberty.
