I'm pulled over on a dirt road in the middle of bum fuck nowhere, and it's 7:30. It will be another hour before I get home. I'm filthy. I can barely move my arms. I think people who choose to live in poverty think those of us with decent jobs don't know struggle. Nah. We do. It's just another kind. I've been broke and knocked down on my ass for a lot of life. It's a struggle either way. I don't want to struggle for anyone but my family because that's all I have in me. It pisses me off to think of some chick getting her nails done and being able to afford groceries that I can't when I go home hurting nearly every day. I'm all about giving a hand out because I appreciate the times people gave me chance. Some people don't want a chance. They want things to be easy and somehow feel they deserve it. Well, you don't always get what you deserve. What people of this caliber deserve is a swift kick to the ass and a return to reality. People pay. People pay with their lives. That's why they get pissed. Someone has to pay for it. It's easy to sit on your high horse and judge those of us coming home late to our families, breaking knuckles, but maybe think twice. I don't feel bad for you if you're not trying. If you are, than more props to you. Small steps are still steps as long as you're moving in the right direction, and everyone needs help sometimes. It's not meant to be a lifestyle or an excuse to not put more effort in.Well said.

The Real Struggle
A hard-working gal who I connected with on FB thru Captain Capitalism shared this yesterday:

Hurricane Mathew
Hopefully just a near miss with a ton of rain. A shout out to the Ushanka comrades in the path: good luck and stay dry!

Soviet Photos
English Russia has posted three photo albums worth a look.
First album: Mathius Rust, the German boy who flew his Cessna to Moscow and landed at Red Square in 1987.
Second album: Pictures of the Soviet Army in Afghanistan.
Third album: Pictures from Dmitry Borko of early 90's Russia.

Tuesday Afternoon Cigar
I took advantage of one of the best days of weather here in SW Ohio to smoke a New World cigar and make some noise.
Hillary and Media Mock Ohio
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and this news proves that the Left is reading Ushanka.
Frankly, I'm surprised that it looks like Trump will take Ohio. During my volunteer work for Trump during the primaries, I was challenged to find any Republican who wasn't disgusted with Trump's "unpresidential" behavior. I knew things would improve during the general election, but not enough to put the state into Trump's corner. As Fletch would say:
Of course, the polls from every state do not take into account the Somalis that will be bussed from polling place to polling place on election day. NEVER discount the Democrat Party's enthusiasm for voter fraud!
Ohio is a very strange state. Here are some of my posts on the subject:

More Dirt on Trump
A FB comrade shares this outrageous violation of common sense:
If only we had listened to the BitterCruzingers and #NeverTrumpers. They sacrificed so much to warn us, including their credibility and future in politics. But we didn't listen.
More dirt, as if we needed more:

Sunday Evening Cigar
A lot to celebrate here at the Hat Factory, so I selected a Rocky Patel Sun Grown for tonight's cigar.
I'm reading Tom Clancy's Patriot Games. I plan to re-read the full Jack Ryan series in the coming months. I finished Red October a week ago.
U/T: Matt Forney, for smuggling the New Glarus beer into Ohio from Wisconsin.
The celebrations:
I spent the past two days with some of Ushanka's finest Comrades: the Alt-Right Dogs.
The Cubs finished the regular season with the best record in the MLB.
And Ushanka is celebrating its tenth year this month!

103-58
The Chicago Cubs finished the regular season here in Cincinnati tonight with the best record of any team in the Major League: 103 wins - 58 losses.
I was at the game tonight, but left early.
Apparently, spending more than two days with the crazy Alt-Right dogs takes a toll on anyone who is over 25 years of age. I didn't have the energy to stay tonight. Luckily, the game did not follow the old, 100-year routine of 'lose big, lose often, and lose some more.'
Congratulations to the Cubs. Now seal the deal, gentlemen.

Some Comrades joined me for Ushanka's annual diversity training. We walked to Cincinnati's National Underground Railroad Freedom White Guilt Center.
