Today's WSJ, page A5: Obama Aims to Keep White Voters on Board.
White working-class voters rarely favor Democrats, and Mr. Obama lost this group by 18 percentage points in 2008. But the Republican advantage widened to 30 points in 2010. Mr. Obama will need to narrow that gap to win re-election.
Other segments of the white vote are also moving to the GOP, according to the surveys by the Pew Research Center, including young whites, those with less than a high-school education and voters earning less than $30,000. The latter group favored Democrats by 15 points in 2008; they now back the GOP by four points.

Even when he's not playing the race card, he's playing the race card.
If you disagree, show us some proof of how Bachman divides the population into racial groups and targets certain racial groups for her campaign stops.
Photo above pulled from Drudge, which points to a Washington Examiner story about some comments from Maxine Waters:
The problem, Waters said, is that Obama is not paying enough attention to the problems of some black Americans. The unemployment rate for African-Americans nationally is a little over 16 percent, and almost twice that in Detroit. And yet, Waters said, the president is on a jobs-promotion trip through the Midwest that does not include any stops in black communities. "The Congressional Black Caucus loves the president too," Waters said. "We're supportive of the president, but we're getting tired, ya'll. We're getting tired. And so, what we want to do is, we want to give the president every opportunity to show what he can do and what he's prepared to lead on. We want to give him every opportunity, but our people are hurting. The unemployment is unconscionable. We don't know what the strategy is. We don't know why on this trip that he's in the United States now, he's not in any black community. We don't know that."
We know what ya'll mean about being tired.

James Taranto at WSJ dedicates the main part of his Best of the Web to Congresswoman Water's comments:
When Waters asked her audience to "unleash us" and "tell us it's all right" to begin a "conversation" about the president's shortcomings in this regard, York reports, "some members of the crowd immediately voiced their approval."
In truth, it's quite obvious why Obama is "not in any black community": He takes the black vote for granted. Upward of 85% of blacks have voted for the Democratic presidential nominee in every presidential election of the past half-century. We're on record as predicting that will change eventually, but with the first black president seeking re-election, 2012 is certain not to be the year it happens.
As long as Republicans are unable to compete for the black vote, Democrats have no need to do so...

Taranto also reminds his readers that Waters was an instigator in the LA Riots of 1992. We expect to see more of this "unleash us" race-baiting as the election nears and Obama's numbers continue to plummet.

Comrade Lloyd Marcus of Tea Party fame posts an article at American Thinker on this subject: Are the Black Flash Mob Attacks on Whites Obama's Fault?
Something we haven't considered is the impact of Obama's failures as President on black youth. Lloyd:
as America's first black president, fair or unfair, Obama's presidency comes with enormous responsibility in terms of its influence on black youths. This is why it is so unfortunate that American black youths' ultimate role model is a characterless, race-baiting political hack.
While I am not saying president Obama is responsible for the epidemic of black youth flash-mob attacks on whites around our country, his race-baiting has to be a contributing factor.

Lloyd continues by listing the previous uses of race to forward Obama's agenda:
Obamacare
Prof. Gates & Cambridge Police
Embrace gansta rap over police concerns
Tea Party criticism
Arizona Immigration
Debt Ceiling
Clearly, the Obama administration's game plan for his presidency is to use race as a bludgeon whenever anyone opposes an Obama agenda item. Obama obviously considers the loss of harmony between black and white Americans to be acceptable collateral damage.
