Lenin Era Art

One of our daily Internet stops is EnglishRussia. They post several photo posts a day, many of Soviet-era events or scenes from inside the Soviet Union - the world's largest union, which is no more.

There was a Lenin statue in Kiev that had been vandalized. It appears Lenin has come back and has offered his opinion of the Tea Party's great revolutionary success in this past week's elections.

And in another post some artwork from the 1917 Revolution.

Our rough translation skills tell us it says "Hope" at the bottom. Can anyone confirm this?

The Hammer and Sickle in 3D. Progressive indeed!

The bridge to the future, Comrades! Paved in Kolyma gold...
