Teach a child the hard-learned lessons of Socialism early, and you've given him or her a full life of clarity.
If this quote is really from him, then his father deserves the credit. The fact that his father was just elected President says America will be in good hands in the coming years.

Liberals Being Liberals
The Bolsheviks populated their secret police, the Cheka, with criminals. Criminals didn't hesitate to confiscate grain which led to over 3 million deaths in the winter of 1921-22. And those criminals were all too happy to act on Lenin's quotas for internal enemies: to the labor camps, or execution.
Hillary plans to put criminals in charge of her policies too. She can relate to criminals, being one herself.
You've probably already seen the video of the black homeless woman trying to protect Trump's star on Hollywood Blvd. I'm posting here for the record, along with a most intelligent tweet from @NolteNC.
If you wish to disagree with my statement that Hillary is a criminal, please include a link to Hillary's outrage over this assault in your comment below.
Breitbart has the story, including Trump's request to find this latest victim of liberalism.

Wasting Time
I decided I was wasting too much time on Facebook. So I wasted time tonight on Imgur instead.

Parenting in Obama's America
Another Ohio overdose story. Here is my last post on the topic, from just two weeks ago.
This one from Liverpool Ohio, just across the border from Pittsburgh.
NYPost: This is what parenting on heroin looks like
I have the solution for these cases, as does Phillipine president Duarte.
But apparently this has to happen far more often here in the states before anyone considers my suggestion.
U/T: Liverpool Police Dept, for releasing the photos. F**k their right to privacy.

An Ohio police department has released jaw-dropping photos of an adult couple who apparently overdosed on heroin in the front seat of an SUV as a 4-year-old boy sat in back.

Gene Wilder
For a few years when I was young, the Willy Wonka movie would come to my local theater and my parents would take me. In addition to the obvious lessons that the Oompa Loompas would sing about, I developed an interest in two other traits: entrepreneurship, and sarcasm. It isn't the movie I give this credit to, but Gene Wilder. A great actor and a genuine man.
The DailyMail has more on his passing.

An Ushanka Exclusive
Kachya drew this for the discerning Ushanka comrades.
Courageous. Eloquent. Timely.
The trained eye would immediately notice the message. And it's authenticity.
Yes, yes, the hammer and sickle genre. Of course. That is one layer. One link to the Bernie Sander's campaign. But look further. . .
Do you see it?
The artist's choice of crayon is what truly connects this piece with the Bernie voter. Nay, the Bernie movement.
Look all you want. You won't find intellectual purity like this at the other blogs.

Presidential Qualifications - A Suggestion
I propose an addition to the qualification requirements for President of the United States. In addition to being 35 or over, and a natural born citizen, I think it should be required for every presidential candidate to be a parent, and to have every child introduce them at every campaign event.
I recall many years ago a segment on the Rush Limbaugh show where he explained the value of children to a democracy. Voters will vote for long-term prosperity over selfish instant gratification if they have children, as they are inclined to consider the years beyond their lifespan.
If that does not ring true to you, consider the opposite. Voters without children - aborted or otherwise not conceived - tend to vote for Free Stuff and other options that bankrupt their country and hasten the demise of Western Civilization.
Do we want a president who considers the next generation(s) when formulating and executing his policies?
This suggestion was inspired by Doug Giles' Townhall article today, If Trump Is So Awful, Why Are His Kids So Awesome?
I thank Doug Giles for starting this conversation. Trump has his buildings, Cruz has led Supreme Court cases, Kasich has turned Ohio around - all great accomplishments by great men. But, if they are truly great men, then they should have equally great children.

This suggestion was inspired by Doug Giles' Townhall article today, If Trump Is So Awful, Why Are His Kids So Awesome?
. . . there is one thing I'd like to bring up that I really haven't heard addressed and I kind of find interesting, namely ... Trump's kids are very impressive.
Which is really weird because, if you listen to and believe Donald's detractors, like Mitt, one would think he would've spawned kids that would make Miley Cyrus look like a penitent nun.
Y'all, help me here. I'm confused.I took this photo in Iowa the day before the Caucus. Trump's daughter (pictured) spoke to the crowd and was extremely impressive.
If Trump's such an evil SOB, of shoddy character, with no moral compass, who doesn't really love America, then why are his kids so sharp, solid, smart and a great addition to this grand American experiment in self-governance?
---
. . . the point is that who a person is gets reduced down to and showcased within their children.
---
. . . I do find it interesting that, not one, but the whole lot of Trump's brood, are grade A, non-drug-booze-government tit-addled-indolent-leeches but pretty amazing young charges who bring excellence to this game of life and, heretofore, honor to the Trump name.
Finally, as one of my old and wise, now deceased, mentors once told me: “if you want to know what a man is truly made of, then look no further than his children.”
I thank Doug Giles for starting this conversation. Trump has his buildings, Cruz has led Supreme Court cases, Kasich has turned Ohio around - all great accomplishments by great men. But, if they are truly great men, then they should have equally great children.

Safe Place
Do you realize the term "Safe Place" is just one tactic in a much larger war?
These events are coordinated and are intended to prepare the battlefield for the next Communist push into our lives: forgiveness of student loans, free college, acceptance of felons in the workplace, further dilution of traditional family values and religious values, more free stuff, etc.
I also think America's
It is now or never. Snowflakes in America's Universities, Unite!
****
Not to be out-whined by their comrades at the University of Missouri, Yale students deplore the invasion of their 'safe places:'
For those who don't watch South Park, please reconsider. They are confronting political correctness head-on this season, albeit in their usual juvenile manner. As you watch, imagine how much dough Trey Parker and Matt Stone are making off of these leftist concepts. I'd take their profit margin over Planned Parenthood's any day. I subscribe to their season at Amazon.
As for safe places, may I share a suggestion?
If you carry a concealed handgun, every place is your safe place.Instapundit has a USA Today article suggesting, after seeing the Yale video above and the shenanigans in Missouri, that the voting age should be raised to a more appropriate age. I disagree (but do not take offense). Here is what I would have liked to see - notice the power of the pen:
Missouri: The football season cancelled and games forfeited, professor Glick and her husband fired for inciting mob violence, and scholarships revoked for the offending players.Where did I come up with these radical, extremist ideas? Did I just make these things up??
Yale: Snowflake expulsion.
No. These were the responses common in 'my day.'
Fred offered a suggestion in his latest, Missouri: Taking the National Temperature:
If universities accepted only those with intelligence and interest, the noise level would drop appreciably.A novel idea that I feel compelled to agree with.
As you watch these outbursts continue in parallel with the civil unrest and racial tension, remember this truism:
A Communist takeover only occurs in moments of crisis and chaos.UPDATED 15 minutes later:
Author, Comrade and Glorious Hat owner, Matt Bracken, shares this like-minded article at Defense Watch: The new Gulag Archipelago on our college campuses.
Who said communism is dead? It’s alive and well on our nation’s campuses.
---
Under the guise of imaginary offenses, these little Maoists are creating the new Gulag Archipelago on the nation’s campuses. Yale and Mizzou and hundreds of other places of higher learning are becoming modern day Pol Pot re-education camps.
Like the Red Guards, the fanatical college age thugs who enforced Mao’s insane Cultural Revolution, today’s college radicals are the enforcers of cultural Marxism and the destroyers of free speech and freedom itself.
What’s the cause of all this? Who’s to blame? Look no further than their Baby Boomer parents and the leftist, do-gooder K-12 educators who have created a walking, talking, protesting Frankenstein monster called the Snowflake Generation.

Tribute Post: The Center for Medical Progress UPDATED and BUMPED
[orig post 7.27.15 3pm]
The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) tried a proven tactic to get their message across. I suspect they are students of the late great Andrew Breitbart. They have earned this Ushanka Tribute post.
Just as Breitbart partnered with James O'Keefe to crush ACORN with the successive rollout of anger-inducing videos, so too the CMP is executing an attack against abortion-mill Planned Parenthood.
Keep in mind, as for the political, this scandal has zero impact. If someone had already rationalized and redefined murder as "choice," then why would they change their position now that they know the dead baby is butchered for profit? Politically, this story is just an embarrassment to liberals. Kind of like Bill Clinton in 1998. Or Detroit. Or Benghazi. They just want it to go away.
So far CMP has released two shocking videos. Video 1. Video 2. The CMP hints there are more videos, and so Planned Parenthood has all but admitted this (GP). PP has done their damage assessment and must have realized they may have provided a cameraman access to the organ-harvesting operations within. My questions:
And now we know why they so adamantly desire late-term procedures. Don't we?
In the DECADES that I've been following this subject, only once or twice have they ever pointed to an actual case of a woman's health justifying an abortion. And since they pointed to it, it is suspect, as I would assume their stats on incest-pregnancies are equally inflated. To these 'people,' ANYTHING justifies more blood and less births.
As ugly as it might sound, I've always suspected that an abortion translates into a lifelong Democrat voter. It is easier to vote Democrat than to confront this demon. (Of course, my heart goes out to those few who do. I fully understand the brainwashing that happens to our young adults as I was one of them once.)
And of course, the act of sharing this opinion does not result in dead bodies. Just liberal tears now, and an early cot in the re-education camp later.
Worse. MSNBC rushed to defend Planned Parenthood. I didn't make it through this, but maybe you can. And isn't it great that YouTube is forever?
I am suspicious of any group with the word "progress" in their name, but CMP passed the test with both their videos and their mission statement:
From Ann Coulter's 2007 book, Godless: The Church of Liberalism:
CMP could have just accused Planned Parenthood of selling baby parts, but we know that would have gone nowhere. This effort to gather evidence and release in increments has led to a grand slam against America's abortion mills. Bravo!
Links:
UPDATED and BUMPED 8.14.15:
Another shout-out to CMP. The ghouls at Stem Express have severed their contract with the ghouls at Planned Parenthood (GP). PP will now have to find another buyer of their baby parts. And, as the CMP videos clearly show, they were always seeking out that higher demand.
In a sane world, PP would have been forcibly shut down within 24 hours of the first CMP video. Today's news is the next best thing.

Do they use a cleaver? As you know, Ushanka keeps the abortion posts to a minimum. Not out of respect, mind you. But because your host, Karl here, finds the topic abhorrent. I'm a happy guy and I like to stay happy.
Do they harvest even if they don't yet have a buyer?
Do they they dance in the baby's blood?
Do the clinic staff receive extra compensation based on the condition of the organs?
And now we know why they so adamantly desire late-term procedures. Don't we?

The Center for Medical Progress is a group of citizen journalists dedicated to monitoring and reporting on medical ethics and advances. We are concerned about contemporary bioethical issues that impact human dignity, and we oppose any interventions, procedures, and experiments that exploit the unequal legal status of any class of human beings. We envision a world in which medical practice and biotechnology ally with and serve the goods of human nature and do not destroy, disfigure, or work against them.My own contribution to the memes:
No liberal cause is defended with more dishonesty than abortion. No matter what else they pretend to care about from time to time--undermining national security, aiding terrorists, oppressing the middle class, freeing violent criminals--the single most important item on the Democrats' agenda is abortion. Indeed, abortion is the one issue the Democratic Party is willing to go to war over--except in the Muslim world, which is jam-packed with prohibitions on abortion, because going to war against a Muslim nation might also serve America's national security objectives. To a liberal, 2,200 military deaths in the entire course of a war in Iraq is unconscionable, but 1.3 million aborted babies in America is something to celebrate.
The Orwellian dishonesty about abortion begins with the Left's utter refusal to use the word abortion. It would be as if members of the National Rifle Association refused to use the word gun. These "pro-choicers" treat abortion the way Muslims treat Mohammed. It's so sacred, it must not be mentioned.
---
The only other practice that was both defended and unspeakable in America like this was slavery....
Abortion is the sacrament and Roe v. Wade is Holy Writ.
CMP could have just accused Planned Parenthood of selling baby parts, but we know that would have gone nowhere. This effort to gather evidence and release in increments has led to a grand slam against America's abortion mills. Bravo!

Deep Thoughts
More
info about that poor guy who got shot during a traffic stop here in
Cincinnati a few weeks ago.
If we held everyone to the same standard... that guy would be alive in some jail right now, and that cop would still be on duty.
He tried to drive away during the traffic stop. The cop did something stupid, once, and lost his career and may go away for a long time. The dead guy, apparently, was stupid 24/7 his entire life.
He had 12 kids.
He had 2lbs of pot in the car.
He had several thousand dollars cash in the car.
If we held everyone to the same standard... that guy would be alive in some jail right now, and that cop would still be on duty.

You can find the full articles, plus others that I didn't link to below, in this Google Doc.
Vietnam veteran Fred posts an open letter to Army Chief of Staff, Gen. Odierno, about the recent ROTC red high-heel shoe incident.
Finland prepares as history repeats. Examiner: Russia rising; tiny Finland preps 1 million strong standing army.
Silvio Canto writes about two glaring hypocrisies in his American Thinker article, Hey media: A very bad week for black lives in Baltimore (and gay rights in the Middle East).
The pro-gay left has said nothing about homosexuals being thrown off rooftops by ISIS, and the #BlackLivesMatter left has been silent in the murders of dozens of blacks in America's inner cities.
Comrade Aaron Clarey writes at Captain Capitalism, Society vs. The Individual, Part 1. He is angry we've been lied to by society, parents, and teachers.
The Libertarian Moment is Everywhere Around Us (Increasing Social Tolerance Edition), by Nick Gillespie.
He does not address the Ushanka maxim that a communist take over cannot occur until traditional family values and religious values are sufficiently diluted. If this is true, what is good for Libertarians is also good for Communists. No?
Nor does he answer the age-old question: If Libertarianism is gaining popularity, why does a flat 2% vote Libertarian in elections? He makes some good points, as always, but does not introduce anything new to suggest a sea change.
Betty Butter puts the Nazi's ahead of the Commies 327 to 25 in her article, 100 Million Dead Under Communism – Next to Zero Hollywood Films.
I wish I had known about the movie earlier. I would have shared it with Ushanka's three loyal readers.
Here is a killing efficiency comparison I prepared long ago:
Vietnam veteran Fred posts an open letter to Army Chief of Staff, Gen. Odierno, about the recent ROTC red high-heel shoe incident.
I see that on your watch the Army is turning into a transvestite marching corps in high heels, a Ziegfeld cross-gendered or bisected gay-bath sexual zoo vacuuming up every sort of erotic loony, not to mention becoming a home for unwed mothers and prostitution rings. I commend you. I have always wanted to be defended by a freak show.
I do not question your qualifications for command. You doubtless have a firm handshake, a steely gaze, an imposing presence, and a perfect grasp of PowerPoint. But a general who is so afraid of feminists that he forces his troops to play dress-up, well, I mean, what if there is a real war?
Finland prepares as history repeats. Examiner: Russia rising; tiny Finland preps 1 million strong standing army.
...the tiny Scandinavian nation of Finland has sent notices to all adult males of military service age detailed instructions on what is expected if and when a national military call-up is announced. Of the 5.4 million citizens of the Suomen Tasavalta (Republic of Finland), more than 900,000 received governmental greetings in the mail.
Although certain members of the Helsinki government denying the notifications of possible mobilization has anything to do with neighboring Russian President Vladimir Putin's recent sabre rattling in Eastern Europe...
But sadly, after 4 years undergrad, 2 years in a masters program, another 2 for a doctorate and voting for Barack Obama twice, your average Millennial has $78,000 in student loans, a lousy labor market, no skills and lives with their parents. Can you imagine not just the insanity, but the terror and fear these poor kids have now that it looks like their lives are ruined forever and will come NOWHERE NEAR to what they were promised?
Oh well. No matter. Democrats got their votes, academia got $1 trillion every year this generation was in college, and employers now have MILLIONS of new and ESPECIALLY DESPERATE people begging for jobs. Again, society won at the expense of the individual.
The Libertarian Moment is Everywhere Around Us (Increasing Social Tolerance Edition), by Nick Gillespie.
Republicans and Democrats, conservatives and liberals want to keep the world tightly sorted into two categories that describe fewer and fewer Americans.Mr. Gillespie is excited that traditional family values and religious values are diluting, and he concludes this will be good for the Libertarian voting bloc. He specifically credits the two wedge issues of gay marriage and drug legalization.
How many hundreds of movies have been made, and are still being made, about the Nazis, but so few about the 100 million who perished under communism? She links to this failed KickStarter campaign to fund the Gulag movie, Gulag Barashevo.
I wish I had known about the movie earlier. I would have shared it with Ushanka's three loyal readers.

These Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we've got to do something about this, we've got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference. For if we don't move at all, then their allies will line up against us and there'll be no way of stopping them, we'll lose the filibuster and there'll be no way of putting a brake on all sorts of wild legislation. Black Fathers Betrayed
I just found an organization in St. Louis called Fathers Support Center, or FSC. Pic and text from their website:
They are addressing some of the biggest crimes against humanity - the destruction of the American black family and the replacement of the black father with a government check. The solution to these problems must come from within the black community, and the Father Support Center seems like a good start.
But then I saw their twitter account, via GP:
Yep. An organization that claims to help black fathers is posting the schedule for this week's Ferguson protests.
My questions:
Protests Riots are scheduled again this weekend despite the sniping of two police officers a week ago today in Ferguson. In fact, this weekend is too far away so the Ferguson Bolsheviks are starting tomorrow (Friday).
You may see my three comments below as opinion. I see them as fact:
A question for the FSC Board of Directors (Jonathan Dobson, Jefferson Miller, Deborah C. Smith, Ray Hemann, Kirksy Williams, and Doris Stoehner):
We’re problem solvers.Sounds good, right?
We impact our cause for children, and the challenge we address every day is the problem of absentee and non-involved fathers. For the children of these fathers, life is difficult and the prospects for a productive life in the future are not bright.

Book Review: The Black Man's Guide Out of Poverty
Book Review: The Black Man's Guide Out of Poverty, by Aaron Clarey. 195 pages. February 2015.
Before I share my thoughts on Clarey's latest book, a few points. First, this author who advises black men on their escape from poverty is white. Midwest pasty white. Minnesota white. Second, he is a fellow cigar-smoking comrade. We share a Midwest upbringing. And more recently, we both participated in the 2008 banking disaster. Where we differ: he comes from divorced parents, and is both wifeless and childless.
The Black Man's Guide Out of Poverty is a natural extension of Clarey's last two books (listed in the Library to the left) and his work on YouTube. He is a prolific advice giver. And while there are exceptions to nearly all his recommendations, his advice is solid, based on both his experiences and observations, and supported by data when available. Above all, it is selfless.
My first reaction to The Black Man's Guide Out of Poverty was the absence of so much noise. In other words, it is so focused the reader may subconsciously add examples or tangents. I caught myself doing this, and in every case it was that pop-culture, political and media noise that has overwhelmed the advice industry. If this happens to you, do not mistake it for author oversight. Clarey's focus is his strength, and those who read this book will be better for it.
He opens the book with the problem. Specifically, ghetto culture and the crabs-in-the-bucket environment that leads to so many wasted lives. He tells his reader to face reality and provides the tools to catch the lies, the traps, and the hidden agendas. He describes the "self-fulfilling prophecy" of "immobilization, defeatism and debilitation."
I'd guess the author would call this an apolitical book, yet he links the challenges facing fatherless black men to Johnson's Great Society and to the entitlement and dependency policies of today's Democrat Party. He doesn't preach. He doesn't promote the Republican Party. He doesn't bad-mouth the Democrat Party beyond linking them to this mess. Maybe that'll be his next book...
He discusses Tribalism in Chapter 3. This is a great chapter about the genetic impulse to be a member of a tribe. The author suggests black men break away from this natural instinct, as the current "ghetto tribe" is a trap of "fatherless children determining the rules of the tribe." He lists common traits for "Acting White" and "Acting Black," then asks the reader which set of traits they'd rather be associated with. Chapter 3 is full of tough love, telling the reader the problem and how he can escape. He even explains the different stages a black man will experience as he makes his escape.
One expected flaw of a white author dispensing advice to black men would be the author telling the reader what he would want. No book on this subject would be complete without discussing Affirmative Action. The white perspective, if I may, is that all job applicants should be treated equal. I would guess Clarey would agree with this, but his role as the author of The Black Man's Guide Out of Poverty is to advise black men. He does discuss Affirmative Action and encourages the reader to take advantage of it. As Clarey explains, "I'm recommending every LEGAL (not moral) way" to succeed.
Another expected shortcoming in a book like this would be some bland, equivocal noise disguised as advice. You've read such garbage before, where you finish and wonder what the author really meant. Well, not here. If you haven't read Clarey's other books, beware of the author's opinions on women, education and parenting. Not a single word is wasted in defining standards in these areas. I do the wave when I read Clarey's expectations of parents, for example. He sets the highest standard.
I disagree with Clarey's advice to men to put a "stash" aside prior to marriage and in case of divorce. If the reader follows the author's advice in selecting a future wife, it is my opinion then that there should be no reason to do anything dishonest. No doubt this advice comes from his research, and no doubt it would have helped others.
The Black Man's Guide Out of Poverty isn't for all black men. It is written for the black man who has an open mind and cares deeply about living his life to its full potential.
I highly recommend The Black Man's Guide Out of Poverty to all young men, regardless of race, who want to learn from other people's mistakes rather than make those mistakes themselves.
Q: So how come he thinks he can give career, family, parenting and education advice to black men?
A: Only those unfamiliar with his existing body of work would ask such a stupid question. Or they have an agenda.

In Ohio Today
So I'm sitting in my favorite breakfast joint this morning and they have a local radio station on in the background. The news hour hits and the female broadcaster, in very somber tones, announces "THE REPUBLICANS" in the Ohio legislature will be the first in the country to vote on an abortion restriction.
On what, does she weep?
And why does she weep?
That's right. Abort a healthy baby, and you must whisper the news to like-minded Obama voters. They will understand and share your minimum requirements for privacy.
But carve up a baby diagnosed with a disease, and you can brag in polite company. The social stigma is less, and you have a better chance of finding allies nearby if someone suggests you chose poorly and an argument ensues.
Remember:
Let me be clear. This post isn't about passing judgement. I don't use Ushanka for that purpose. I try to steer clear of the personal.
But I will argue to my last breath that those who fall in the pro-choice camp are pawns in the communist conspiracy here in the United States. To those I say, "Pay attention to who you benefit when you choose a lower standard."
In other words, this post is political. Not personal.

Banning abortions based on Down Syndrome diagnosis.
And why does she weep?
Because a down syndrome abortion carries more bragging rights.

Remember:
The Ushanka Maxim: TheLiberalsProgressivesCommunists cannot take over until they sufficiently dilute both traditional family values and religious values.
"Pro-Choice" does both.
