Cossack Tea Party?

Man, can those Ukrainians hold a grudge!  It has been 81 years since a Russian forced 6 million Ukrainians to die in a man-made famine - the second such famine in Soviet Russia.  Now their corrupt elected leader has chosen succumbed to oil blackmail and chosen to partner with the Russians.

Nearly a million protesters came out last week, and there have been days of 500k or more in the Kiev center.  We haven't seen a crowd like this since the Tea Party went to Washington in September 2009.  For this reason, we are dedicating this Tribute post to the freedom-loving Ukrainians who know a bad deal when they see one.  Especially this guy:

No sickle, but a monster hammer to the former statue of the former Bolshevic, V.I. Lenin - the man who gave the order for the first Soviet man-made famine in 1921 where 6 million also died.

Putin is using Russia's vast oil supply to gain control of neighboring regions.  He did it with Western Europe over the warnings of Mr. Anti-Communism himself, President Reagan, regarding the Trans-Siberian Pipeline.  He just did it again with Ukraine's President.

And how about this photo?  This Ukrainian priest blessed the hammer that was used to crush the Lenin statue - via The People's Cube:

You can't make an omlette without breaking a few eggs!

Impressive!

The difference between Obama and Putin:  One will trade national assets to improve the nation's security and to gain leverage over neighboring states.  And one just trades national assets (including the moral high ground).

They Can't Hide Inflation Forever

One of the key lies being told to us is that inflation is tame and will continue to be so.

Likely every returning Ushanka reader has already detected inflation in their daily lives.  The grocery store, for us, has been a weekly reminder of just how bad things have become since a majority in this country voted for Hope and Change.  And don't get us started on ammo prices!

We read, but subsequently lost the link, that inflation has jumped 39% since our dear leader entered office.  We recall hat owner, Ann Barnhardt, recently mention our purchasing power is dropping (inflation is rising) at over 6% a year.

The government isn't the only one hiding inflation.  They - the Bureau of Labor and Statistics - said on Nov. 20th that inflation is rising at 1.0%.  Specifically, 0.1% per month!  Are you buying that?

For extra credit: can you name the last statement from this government that proven as fact?

Companies have reasons to hide their price increases too.  One gimmick they use to hide rising prices is to shrink the size or volume of the product to cover the higher cost.

Here are two photos we took today.

First, we were thinking of our dear leader when we realized it was time to open a new package of TP.  Same brand and same packaging bought at the same store, so we expected to get the same product.  Not a lot of Hope there, but about 1/2 inch less of Change.

And here is a photo at our local grocery store of the new (will they call it 'Fun Size?') 7.5oz soda cans.   We suspect there will be a media campaign soon to guilt us for buying those evil 12oz sodas.

After five years of gross mismanagement and 6+% inflation, you can expect the pain factor to kick in soon.  And this is something that cannot be 'rolled back.'  It'll get worse before it gets better.  Reagan needed three years to undo Carter.  And Carter was a piker compared to our dear leader.

It isn't a secret anymore that health insurance is doubling for most Americans now, with premiums expected to jump to $20k per family in 2016.  And if it hasn't happened already, families (those who earn their spending money) will have to cut certain grocery items to make ends meet.

Everybody has advice on how to protect yourself and your savings from inflation, and in this topic we are mere consumers of the daily news.  We're just observing the decline with our eyes wide open and have no advice for you.

There are, however, two YouTube personalities who we've found to be more credible than most on the subject.  While biased against the Fed's money printing and the regime's money spending, they are also consistent and events have proven most of their predictions to be true.  Peter Schiff is one.  If you're flexible enough to handle a goofy character, we'd also suggest RawDog.  (Watch a few of his episodes before coming to a verdict - he grows on ya)

Also, if you haven't, go read our article on this subject from a year ago.  We were on to something.

A Commie Dies, A Media Weeps

America's Pravda outlets lost one of their own this week.  Communist and Terrorist Nelson Mandela is dead.

The media will attempt to exploit his death: push their racial agenda, distract from Benghazi, ObamaCare, a flailing economy, etc., and shout-down the truth about Mandela's past (incl: necklacing).

How about these headlines from today?
MSNBC: A letter of Thanks to the Late Nelson Mandela
LA Times: Tragedy Dogged the Triumphant Nelson Mandela
Huffington Post: Kanye West, The Next Nelson Mandela?  Not So Fast.

Some Mandela quotes at Buzzfeed:
If there is a country that has committed unspeakable atrocities in the world, it is the United States of America. They don’t care for human beings.
From its earliest days, the Cuban Revolution has also been a source of
inspiration to all freedom-loving people. We admire the sacrifices of the Cuban people in maintaining their independence and sovereignty in the face of the vicious imperialist-orquestrated campaign to destroy the impressive gain made in the Cuban Revolution. … Long live the Cuban Revolution. Long live comrade Fidel Castro.
[Before US invasion of Iraq, 2002]  If you look at those matters, you will come to the conclusion that the attitude of the United States of America is a threat to world peace.

Here are links to some who are correcting the MSM message about the Communist Mandela:

Vdare: The Mandela Monster: We Owe Apartheid South Africa
What America should be celebrating is the courage and wisdom of the leaders of White South Africa in keeping this monster away from power until it was, for his purposes, too late.
Hat Owner, Donald Joy, at Clash Daily: Nelson Mandela Joins Yasser Arafat as Dead Terrorists Who Won Peace Prizes
Contrary to what the media is telling you, Nelson Mandela wasn’t jailed merely for opposing the apartheid government of South Africa.  He was jailed to stop him from carrying out wide-scale terrorism on behalf of the global-communism-seeking Soviet Union.
WND: Nelson Mandela was a Radical Marxist
Nelson Mandela was a radical Marxist and a firm advocate of abortion, pornography, homosexuality and legalizing prostitution...

Assholic Nimrod Socialst Wads (ANSW)

Penn and Teller just released their latest "Bullshit" episode.  Today's topic: World Peace.

If you are not familiar with their Bullshit series, understand this is NSFW, nor is this left wing or right wing.  No, it is Libertarian Wing.  In other words, it is a common theme that they mock lefties and righties to present their Libertarian views as sane.  In this video, one side is easier mocked than the other...

Unlike most Libertarians, they present a full vetting of the facts mixed with some adult humor.  This 28-minute episode is worthy of a Ushanka post.

We agree with their solution for World Peace, but we say it a different way: Crush Communist thought where ever it rears its ugly head.

MSNBC: Setting New Standards

 Albeit, low standards.

Apparently Martin Bashir is too liberal for MSNBC.  He resigned was fired today.

MSNBC's hosts will have to refrain in the future from voicing their desire to have someone s--t in Sarah Palin's mouth.

Mediaite:
Just over two weeks ago, MSNBC host Martin Bashir delivered a harsh piece of commentary that culminated in the suggestion that someone should “s-h-i-t” in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin‘s (R-AK) mouth. Bashir offered an abject apology on his next broadcast, but a chorus of critics continued to demand action against the host. After a reported “vacation” for the host earlier this week, Bashir announced, in a statement to Mediaite Wednesday afternoon, that MSNBC and Martin Bashir are parting ways.

MSNBC will now have to find another non-threatening ethnic host to take his place.

Don't Forget to Call Me "Racist"

This comment from a useful idiot found at the very cool Commie Obama Hat Facebook page

Mr. Jennings works at the Social Security Administration, so it is possible he has not felt the full wrath of the Obama economy on his earnings or health insurance.  Lucky guy!

He Is In Heaven Now

At the risk of confusing atheists and gays, and probably offending a few others...

What?  Too soon?

Good Advice

How many said they wanted to be government employees for 30 years?

No Power is Ultimate Power

At least in Venezuela.

Who do the people turn to when the power goes out?

Hugo replacement commie, Nicolas Maduro, announces new socialist initiatives for the greater good, and the power goes out in Caracas and surrounding cities.

BBC:
The opposition says the governments of President Maduro and his predecessor, Hugo Chavez, have failed to maintain the power grid to meet growing demand, and resorted to conspiracy theories to divert attention from mismanagement.
Sean Penn and Danny Glover were unavailable for comment.

Keep an eye on Venezuela to understand how far Marxists will go to keep power.

The BEST source for communist activities in Central and South America is the Wall Street Journal's Mary Anastasia O'Grady (Google News).

Black on Black Violence: Unreported in High Def

You didn't hear about this in the MSM.  Remember, they have an agenda, and they will stay on their sinking ship like the men did the Titanic.

Saturday's football game between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan Wolverines had an incident that even went unreported by the reporters on the scene!

Take a look at:
1) The face mask tackle at the 0:10 mark, then
2) The thug/intimidation/unsportsmanlike gang activity of the Michigan players at 0:14.

Neither were addressed.  By refs or sports broadcasters!

The facemask went un-called, and the sports broadcasters did not mention it during the many re-plays.  The circle of thugs was also replayed and ignored in the commentary. Only the fight that followed was discussed.

Then it hit us.  We had to put on our liberal glasses in order to view this from a racial perspective.

This was black-on-black violence.

The left won't address black-on-black violence because it can lead to conversations about a common and recurring trend of fatherless black men behaving like savages.  The right won't mention black-on-black violence either, for one of two reasons: 1) The right-wingers surrendered their right to free speech to white guilt, or 2) The right-wingers have given up trying to undue generations of damage to the black man via liberal policies.

Zhukov, a student at The Ohio State University, offered a profound observation: "If black men surrounded me like that on the street, I could shoot them."

Being white, we are not allowed to comment on any race issues such as this.

We just don't understand.

But we do have the right, probably temporary, to point out that assault and battery occurred on the playing field Saturday.  This was gang intimidation and gang violence - in uniform.  It was criminal activity.  And those in control of the narrative (ESPN), and those in a position to point to a very serious problem in America, chose to ignore it.
