If we had principled leadership in Washington, we'd see this:
1) No new debt ceilings,
2) No rush to raise taxes by 'reforming' the tax code,
3) An immediate "DOA" response for any gun control,
4) Impeachment proceedings for Benghazi,
5) Impeachment proceedings for Fast and Furious,
6) A new Speaker of the House.
Breaking news: Speaker Boehner was just re-elected as Speaker of the House.
The Hill:
In his remarks shortly after the vote, Boehner emphasized the need to reduce government spending and debt, saying future generations would have opportunities only if lawmakers worked to break free of the national debt.
"Our government has built up too much debt. Our economy is not producing enough jobs," Boehner said. "These are not separate problems.
"At $16 trillion and rising, our national debt is draining free enterprise and weakening the ship of state," he said.

With control of the debt limit, Speaker Boehner has just one person to complain to. The man in the mirror.
