Meme of the Day

albeit two days late...

Remembering the GOP Primaries

Imgur has a post with all the past GOP candidates and their reasons for failing.

This one is my favorite:

Lindsey has since recovered from the cyst and came out a day ago to say he would not endorse the man who beat him and the other 14 candidates.  Mr. Trump responded in Mr. Trump fashion:
"I fully understand why Lindsey Graham cannot support me. If I got beaten as badly as I beat him, and all the other candidates he endorsed, I would not be able to give my support either. Every time I see Lindsey Graham spew hate during interviews I ask why the media never questions how I single-handedly destroyed his hapless run for President. As a candidate who did not receive 1% in his own state - compared to my victory at nearly 40% with many others in the race - he has zero credibility. He was a poor representative and an embarrassment to the great people of South Carolina. Judging by the incompetent way he ran his campaign, it is easy to see why his military strategies have failed so badly --- we can’t even beat ISIS!

While I will unify the party, Lindsey Graham has shown himself to be beyond rehabilitation. And like the voters who rejected him, so will I!"

Donald J. Trump

I offer a humble and hearty Ushanka Tip to the GOP nominee.

Political Crybaby Season

Wild Bill nails it.  He addresses those who will not vote for Trump in November:
The Bitter Cruzingers,
The 'Least of Two Evils' crowd,
The 'Holiness Crybabies,' and
The 'Deaf, Dumb and Blind' Crybabies.

Trump Triangulation

Brilliant.

And I agree.  Sanders keeps filling the venues and winning the primaries, but the nomination is already in the bag for Hillary.  He should dump the DNC and set out on his own.

Quote of the Week

Comrade and author, Ann Sterzinger, on FB yesterday posted this statement and gif:

We really, really dodged a bullet here, gang...

I'm not sure what Ann is referencing, but I share her sentiment for two reasons:
1) I want a Christian in the White House.  But Cruz's religious statements seem too extreme for me.  W. was highly religious too, but he kept it under control.  And,
2) In the past four months, the more I learned about Ted Cruz, the less I liked him.  I didn't like the cheating or delegate stealing, regardless if is was accidental or legal.  I didn't like the arrogance that led him to call me a "low-information voter" because I preferred one of the other 15 GOP candidates.  I didn't like the connections to the Bush team or Wall Street.
Cruz had positives.  He was a strong #2.  70+% of Republicans backed Trump or Cruz - both who are a MASSIVE improvement over the candidates of 2008 and 2012.

It has been a while since the wife and I watched the 1983 movie, The Dead Zone.  That may be the plan tonight...

The Hat Nazi Speaks

To all the #NeverTrump folks and others who want Hillary for president, the Glorious Hat Nazi says:

This message is inspired by the #NeverTrump frauds over at the Victory Girls blog, who list five things one can do to stop Trump act out in a whiny, sore-loser fashion.

See my Bitter Cruzinger posts, part one and part two.

Or, see a "Victory" girl:

Word Travels Fast

Bernie Sanders, Communist, wins the Indiana primary

U/T: FB Comrade Joe

Conservatives of the World, Unite!

Our Glorious Hat placard for 2016 says:

Conservatives of the World, Unite!

The young lady above is a Ushanka Comrade and a Cruz supporter.  She is going to support Trump as the nominee.   She is like most Cruz supporters tonight: disappointed, but loyal to the conservative cause.

Trump's brand of conservatism didn't connect with many of my comrades, but it will come across loud and clear in that first debate with Hillary.  Not a prediction.  A promise.

It is time to save our country.

Tonight Trump won another primary, this time Indiana.  Ted Cruz is out.  John Kasich is irrelevant.  The stage is set for Trump vs. Hillary.  The general election starts tomorrow.

It is time to Unite.

We can now ignore the Bitter Cruzingers - those few horrible, horrible people who tried to tear us apart.  They will remain bitter, because they cannot undo what they've said and done these past three months.  Let's look at their bitterness up close, one last time, so we will remember what some tried to do to us and our Party in exchange for money, fame or a seat at the Cruz table:

And in case you forget what we are fighting - what we are uniting against - just turn that Glorious Hat placard over to the other side:
