The Herman Cain Problem

We wanted to write a negative post on Herman Cain. It seems to be all the rage among our fellow bloggers.

 We don't know all the facts yet about the latest woman and latest claim. And the information on the earlier claims seem to sit in the gray area between a) he's a sex-crazed black man, and b) these are attention-seeking ideological has-been pawns being paid or encouraged to lie by as-yet unidentified backers of a unprecedented smear.

 We think we are still at <50% of claimants actually identifying themselves and backing their claims of chin-pointing and other read-between-the-lines accusations that were too weak to report at the time unless there was some $$ to be had.

This presents an interesting contrast to the Penn State claimants who are coming forward to report 100+ rapes by Sandusky.

 So while we wallow in this MSM-generated gray area (aka The Means), and Mr. Cain's donations and support drop off as his time runs out (aka The Ends), we are left to the following logical conclusions:

  Loyalty:

 If Cain had a 13-year affair with Ginger White (Nat'l Journal) as she claims, he should compare less favorably to his fellow GOP candidates.

 If Cain had a 13-year affair with Ginger White as she claims, she is less loyal than Rielle Hunter (ABC) who stayed quiet and in the shadows. 

So, not only would Cain be an adulterer, he is also a bad judge of character.  Would that bad judgement carry over to his Cabinet picks?

 Thoroughness: 

 The fun was watching The Politico spew out hundreds of Cain smears before the first woman identified herself and claimed the abhorrent chin-pointing offense. The Politico became a punchline, exposed themselves as partisan hacks, and almost drowned in their own filth.

 They have shown themselves to be careful in other scandals of a sexual nature. For example, The Politico has not reported on the Obama gay bath-house (Man's Country - NSFW) rumors.

 Man's Country now has wi-fi! Their website explains:

...is a private membership club for men 18 years and older. Man's Country Chicago is a clean, safe place to hang out, meet guys who share the same interest as you. Socialize, make friends, watch porn and play! Man's Country Chicago - Where real men meet.

Doug Ross has the story, which includes the names of gay men Larry Sinclair and Kal Penn.  The story does not share the name of one ex-girlfriend of Obama's, and explains why.  Among other things we learned from Doug's post is the term "beard" and that Commie Frank Marshall Davis, Obama's childhood mentor, was (or is rumored to be) a pedophile.

Some would suggest a double standard in coverage and manufactured outrage.

Nostalgia:

Remember when you could carry on an affair with a girl the same age as your daughter, who was your employee, and whose career you attempted to help using your position of authority?

And nobody cared?!

Those were the days!  Perjury, sexual harassment, rape.  Or what the left calls "just sex" or "private matters."

That was then.  But when your side is losing in the polls, chin-pointing is the new rape.

We're not saying these claims are false.  We are just giving Cain the same respect and distance as the MSM/Politico gives to others.

Cain is still our 2nd to Bachman.  Our primary vote will be based on loyalty.  Who's been the earliest and most consistent with the Tea Party values?  We'll be as loyal to them as we expect them to be loyal to us when they take office.

The left calls that 'closed minded', but they have a lot invested in the dilution of values in America.  It is the only way to win elections.

Rush - A Tribute

Rush Limbaugh is the man.  No doubt about it.

He said in 5 minutes on yesterday's show what we've been trying to express over 5 years here at Ushanka.us:

This is serious. There are people in our country who think that this election will determine, in the long run, whether we remain a free people or not. And by free people, we're not talking about dungeons and political prisoners in cells and this kind of stuff like you find in Cuba. That's not what people mean. That doesn't have to happen in order for you to lose your freedom. Your freedom can be taken away from you with an increased tax rate. Your freedom can be taken away from you with your private property rights being infringed upon. You own something but you can't do anything with it, you can't do what you want with it, you can't even own it. There's any number of ways that we can lose our liberty and freedom without being thrown in jail and without a police state per se.

So a lot of people really do think that America, as a nation of free people, is at stake here and that this election is about that. But it's not just this election. One election is not going to be a magic elixir. It's just the first step of many that's going to have to take place. We have arrived where we are slowly and steadily over 50 years, if not more. The left did not wave a magic wand and get us to this point. Now, they've been building to it and building to it, but look how quickly they were able to get us to the tipping point with their right candidate being elected president of the United States. A total sham candidate who ran on a series of lies and hoaxes and frauds.

But people fell for it. It doesn't take much. All you gotta do is run around and say, "You know what? I'm gonna lower the sea levels and I'm gonna raise the sunshine, and I'm gonna give you health care. You're gonna get the best health care you ever had and it's not gonna cost you anything. I'm gonna get rid of all of insurance premiums. I'm gonna get rid of all screening. I'm gonna get rid of all preexisting conditions. You want health care, you're gonna get it, and the millionaire down the street is gonna pay for it. Who would say no to that? Especially when you have a population that has been educated to think that that's just.

You don't need prisons to lose your freedom. Look at political correctness. People stifle themselves. People will refuse to exercise their own First Amendment rights out of fear for what might be heard. Somebody might be offended, somebody might be upset. So people willingly, willfully give up freedom every day of the week. Political correctness has resulted in self-policing of your thoughts.

Obama Agenda vs. Marx

Doug Ross compares Obama's Agenda to the Marxism Ten.

Here are the first two:

According to Karl Marx, the following ten elements were requisite conditions for "a transition from capitalism to communism."

1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes. Washington Examiner: The great Obama land grab: "White House officials have been meeting quietly with environmental groups to map out government plans for acquiring untold millions of acres of both public and private land... The federal government, as the memo boasted, is the nation's 'largest land manager.' It already owns roughly one of every three acres in the United States... This is apparently not enough."

2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax. National Taxpayer Union: The top 1% of taxpayers already pay 40% of all income taxes. The top 5% pay 61% of all income taxes. And the top 25% pay 87%. The bottom 50% pay 3% of all income taxes. And Democrats want more from entrepreneurs: "Democrats seek a new 'Millionaire's Tax'."

It is easier to read these ten if you wear our Commie Obama hat!

Occupy LA - Evicted UPDATED

These people say Israel is occupying Palestine, and that Israel is wrong.  But they occupy public spaces all over the country, and that is ok.

Have you heard any Palestinians complain about the body odor of their occupiers?

These people are upset about Europeans displacing Native Americans hundreds of years ago, but the Native Americans sold their land for a few bottles of fine whiskey.  It was a consensual transaction that both parties now regret.

Seen anybody offer good Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey for trade recently?  No you haven't!  You can have our bottle of Knob Creek 9 Year when you pry it from our cold dead fingers.

Defense Spending

John Bolton ignores multiple interruptions from a poorly prepared interviewer to speak for us on the coming cuts in defense and the growing threats from Russia and China.

Amb. Bolton suggests a coming confrontation from China, but we've already passed that and he knows it.

About 2 years ago a Chinese attack sub surfaced within our carrier group. That means it got past our subs, our anti-sub systems and right up next to our aircraft carrier. That is the definition of confrontation.

And just this past week President Medvedev of Russia said any new missile defense systems in Europe would be targeted by Russia. GeorgianDaily article by Alan Cullison, who've we've quoted from the WSJ in past, posts:

Russia revived threats to deploy ballistic missiles on the borders of the European Union on Wednesday, if the U.S. proceeds with plans to build an anti-missile system there.

The announcement by President Dmitry Medvedev on state-run television highlights growing tensions between Moscow and Washington, which has been struggling to defend the benefits of a so-called reset in relations with Russia.

Here is our suggested 'reset' for Russia - cut all ties, deploy missile defenses wherever it benefits our defense and the defense of our friends, and say in no uncertain terms, "Try to drive another APC into Georgia or any other border country and watch the sky go dark with A-10s."

Two Armed Robberies

A rare Gun Rights and Ushanka Babe combo-post!

Two armed robberies. Suspects escaped in both robberies. Similarities end there.

In Massachusetts, a state known for its strict policies against armed citizens, a robbery at a convenience store last week.

Yes, that is the 3 year-old daughter of the store clerk in the video.



In Texas, a state known for its 'liberal' concealed carry policies, a robbery at a Denny's. Via Glenn, the story at Click2Houston.

Officials said two armed suspects wearing bandannas entered and attempted to rob the store. The sole customer in the restaurant, a licensed concealed handgun carrier, observed the suspects enter, pulled out his own gun, took cover and fired at the robbers.
