Called It

Obama owns this.

 UPDATED 10.1.14:

ER sent patient away on 26th - 6 days before diagnosis.

Funeral homes receive instructions.

Questions from FB Comrade (a doctor):  Are the ER staff from his first visit quarantined?  Are the others in the ER waiting room during his first visit among the quarantined?  What about the others he came in contact with during his four days among the populace?

Advice from a FB Comrade:  Avoid emergency rooms like the plague.

Should I be joking?

Yes and no.  First, an out-of-control outbreak in the US would have to overcome our higher standards for hygiene, less population density, our elaborate and redundant communications technologies, and a connected awareness of a (somewhat) educated population.  The disease gets some help from a government bureaucracy that will fail the US citizen whenever challenged, and an administration that would find an outbreak somewhat aligned with their interests.

While it is pretty obvious now, I predict there will be more Ebola cases found in the US.  I'll add the caveat that we will never be told the exact number once the count gets past 10 for two reasons:
1) they will time newly announced cases within a PR cycle that benefits Obama, and
2) there will be cases of denial in some levels of the bureaucracy.
The ultimate goal in the coming days: distract from these Obama administration decisions:
1) Open the Southern border,
2) Allow transportation to/from Africa after first reports of Ebola,
3) Bring Ebola cases to the US for treatment.

Terrorism in America? Whatever. UPDATED and BUMPED

[orig post 9.28.14 11am]

The best argument for Hillary in 2016 is that the media elites will avoid calling terrorism "terrorism" for four more years.

Breitbart:  Oklahoma Beheader Linked to Al Qaeda Leader Awlaki, Boston Bomber's Mosque

I may be on record as being less-than-pleased that we have Liberals Progressives Communists running destroying our country, but I also like living in this bubble where I'm told "everything is ok," and the US economy is "recovering," and "war in ____ is so important it doesn't need congressional approval." Doesn't everybody?

Our dear leader's 'Crisis as a Means' warfare against his internal enemies is a smashing success.  But I am still unclear on his exit strategy....

So a guy cuts the head off of a co-worker.  Comrade Huck, via FB, suggests we don't get upset about this: "No sense in losing your head over workplace violence."  Exactly.  The fact that prediction #8,344: "we will have terrorist attacks in the US if we elect a Democrat" has been proven true is hardly news.  I stopped reacting after #45 or so.

Huck pointed me to this Pamela Geller post [WARNING - PHOTO OF BEHEADED AMERICAN CITIZEN]:  Police Calling Beheading a “Terror Event,” But the FBI Has Not Determined a Motive

We wish the FBI luck in their search for the motive.  Since they were watching me instead of protecting Colleen Hufford, they might consider taking the time to give me a call.  I have an idea.

UPDATED 2pm:

Mr. B. delivers!  The news reports said the recent Islam convert was shot by a "deputy."  Mr. B. is an founding member of that growing group, now a majority, who don't believe a thing the MSM says.  He reports it was not a deputy who did the shooting, but a citizen carrying a concealed handgun.  Well, that runs counter to the narrative, now doesn't it?

And from WZ: Lt. Betsy Randolph, a police officer who arrested the recent Islam convert 4 years ago after he assaulted her.

UPDATED 9.29 10am:

UPDATED and BUMPED 9.29.14 10:30pm:

Correcting the record: Apparently the co-worker who shot the recent convert to Islam is the former company president, and he is a reserve county sheriff's deputy.

This photo of victim #2 who survived, Traci Johnson, was posted by a FB Comrade.

More at Pamela Geller's site.  Her site is always the first source for the cancer that is the political movement, Islam.

Legal Insurrection posts MSNBC's attempt to play the "Workplace Violence" theme.  It is even more ridiculous in video!

UPDATED 10.5.14 9pm:

Quote of the day, pulled from the comments.  Comrade Robert:
Islam is a very convenient tool for the violent psychopath / sociopath. No longer are you a worthless loser who enjoys inflicting pain on others: now you are a holy man! (who enjoys inflicting pain on others)

Occupy Central

CNN:

Occupy Central is the political party in Hong Kong who has been denied permission to run a candidate in the 2017 Hong Kong leadership elections.  Their supporters have been protesting in the business district for a week.  Yesterday, the disobedience led to tear gas use by police.

The significance: some say Communist rule in China is on the ropes.  A slowing economy with a chance of collapse, mal-investment (over-building, empty cities, corruption, etc.), a generation short (30%) of women due to the one-child policy, and the use of social media by the younger generations.  In fact, Instagram was blocked by the communist regime.  The question for coming days: will the People's Liberation Army intervene?

More at ZH.

Is America "Communist?"

ZeroHedge takes a stab at this question, and concludes we are 70% communist.  I have to disagree.

Ushanka will not be online when the US reaches 70%.

I'm quick to throw the "Commie" term around.  You could say I'm "Liberal" with the communist label.  But so far I've only referred to government employees who I think share the ideals and inspirations of famous communist leaders.  They, so far, lack the authority and support to act on those impulses.  They must push their agenda by indirect means.

ZH lists Karl Marx's ten demands and claims seven are met.  Their assessment, and mine:

1. Abolition of private property.  ZH: Yes (eminent domain and property tax).  Ushanka: No.  Owners are paid fair value.

2. Abolish inheritance.  ZH: Partial. (inheritance tax).  Ushanka: Partial.  Tax is partial.  High, but inheritance is still intact.

3. Centralization of transportation.  ZH: Yes. (federal freeways)  Ushanka: No.  US travelers pick their destination, departure date, route and means.  Stalin's trains and black mariah vans moved political prisoners.

4. Centralization of communication.  ZH: Yes. (permit to transmit)  Ushanka: Partial.  Private technology companies partnering, under duress, with the NSA suggests this is becoming true.

5. Centralization of food production.  ZH: Yes. (Dept. of Agriculture)  Ushanka: Partial.  The attacks on small farms and organic farmers limit consumer choices and set a bad precedent.

6. Full (100%) employment.  ZH: Yes.  Ushanka: No.

7. Centralization of education.  ZH: Yes.  Ushanka: Yes.

8. Progressive income tax.  ZH: Yes.  Ushanka: Yes.

9. Confiscation of emigrants' property.  ZH: Yes. (exit taxes for those renouncing citizenship)  Ushanka: No.

10. Centralization of credit.  ZH: Yes. (Fed)  Ushanka: No.  The central bank concept preceded Karl Marx.  It is not ideal, but it is not a component of communism.

It is always a good exercise to compare notes:
ZH: 9 Yes, 1 Partial.
Ushanka: 2 Yes, 3 Partial.
ZH is a great site in a portfolio of sites.  It is the pessimistic watchdog, always seeing the worst in every statistic and news event.  They have been right at times, and they will someday get to say "I told you so" when things become unraveled.  But if you had put your $ in only the investments they suggest in the past years, you'd likely lose 30-40% in precious metals, and missed out on 50+% gains in the stock market.   Which begs the question: If the brains behind ZH are so smart, why didn't they see today's market highs 2-3 years ago?

UPDATED 10.1.14 2pm:

A CNN article related to my comments above re: ZH - Zero Hedge: Wall Street's daily dose of doom and gloom.

Zero Hedge, a financial blog, offers a deeply conspiratorial, anti-establishment and pessimistic view of the world.

- - -

"He is your archetypal brilliant eastern European dude who is great at mathematics and a very rigorous thinker," said Colas, who frequently trades emails with Ivandjiiski and checks Zero Hedge multiple times a day.

"He is the most consistent source of that totally off the grid or novel approach. You can agree or disagree, but I don't think he honestly cares. Every day he makes you think. That's hard as hell to do," said Colas.

Dissenters Gonna Dissent

Commie Obama hat owner, Ann Coulter, sprays the Libertarian hive with a hose in her latest column.  She is adamant that the Republicans win control of the Senate in November.  She explains this election is more favorable for the Republicans, and control means stopping the ultra-lib-judge confirmations over the next two years.  One of the few things our dear leader can still do.

She is exactly right.

She is also right that Libertarian voters may have a spoiler opportunity in November.  While the Libertarians I know are clearly on the side of the Constitution and would prefer judges who respect the Constitution as it was written, it is also their nature to exploit any opportunity to make themselves heard.  Even at the expense of the Constitution.  They chose that latter option in 2012, and should be expected to do so again in November.

Ann - Your 'To Do' List to Save America:
The biggest current danger for Republicans is that idiots will vote for Libertarian candidates in do-or-die Senate elections, including Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina and Colorado. (That's in addition to the "Independent" in Kansas who's a Democrat.) Democratic candidates don't have to put up with this crap -- they're even trying to dump the official Democrat in Kansas to give the stealth Democrat a better shot.

When we're all dying from lack of health care across the United States of Mexico, we'll be deeply impressed with your integrity, libertarians.

Which brings me to my final assignment this week: If you are considering voting for the Libertarian candidate in any Senate election, please send me your name and address so I can track you down and drown you.
Ann needs to learn what I've recently come to accept.  Libertarians cannot be defined, and are therefore immune from criticism.  Each has his own political priorities, and as a group they straddle the "R" and "D" spectrum.  As PJ O'Rourke recently said, "If we marched we'd go in all different directions."

Ann should know that Libertarians cannot be shamed (trust me, I've tried), and any attempt will only embolden their ranks.  Ann, dissenters are gonna dissent.  Anarchists are going to choose anarchy.

If we need votes to stop the destruction of the US courts, we either have to motivate a larger-than-normal "R" turnout, or pull from the "D's".  Or both.

Here is a project I've been working on for a while.  While some may think it is meant to inflame, it is actually an objective exercise.  How does the Libertarian Party and the Gay Political movement compare?

The only row that I struggled with was the demonize row.  Libertarians are on record screaming "Both parties SUCK!"  But, outside of a few anonymous comments at blogs and on YouTube, I've never heard one actually get personal.

Did I get these right?  Any suggestions for more rows, or another comparison?

UPDATED 9.29 10am:

Just to correct the record, it was Lenin who did the disarmament.  You can read about that, and one peasant's reaction in my Tambov article.

The End of the World?

I don't think so.

Excellent video.  An attempt to summarize the problems we face today.  But let me offer some optimism, some perspective, some corrections, and my own suggestions:

1) Pollution:  The air is cleaner now than it was.  30-40 years ago we had lakes and rivers that caught fire.  Communities that were destroyed.  Smog that choked Los Angeles.  Not today. Why?  Well, I have to give the original environmentalists an Ushanka Tip.  Before becoming the foot soldiers of the Communist Party, these early hippies directed our attention to real atrocities.  In the end, it was some necessary nudges from government that directed innovation and the private sector to fix these problems.  The problem today: too much environmental regulation.

2)  Police Corruption:  There is a small percentage of police officers and agencies that are destroying the reputations of all.  This deserves attention, but it is wrong to paint them all with this broad brush.  The blogs and other elements of the new media are doing a great job at directing attention to the problems.  If allowed to continue, I am optimistic public pressure will lead to less no-knock raids, less veterans murdered, less dogs shot, less children harmed, less ridiculous over-reactions.

3) "Everyone is Medicated.  Agree.  See Captain Capitalism's video on this topic.

4) Religion.  It is insincere to say "I'll kill you" without specifying the only 'religion' that inspires death.  BTW, Islam is not a religion.  It is a totalitarian political movement.

5) Profit.  It is not evil.  It is key to a capitalist society and deserves all the credit for our amazing standard of living in the US, and the improvements across the globe.  The criticism should be communist demonization of capitalism driven by envy and resentment.  And the praise should be innovation, the entrepreneurial spirit, and the work ethic that continues to make the US the model for all others:

6) Solution.  He starts with "Love."  A good start.  Let me address this from an rabid anti-communist perspective:  Traditional Family and Religious Values.  It is their (Democrats') goal to dilute these two core principles.  Family values start with two loving parents.  Specifically, a man and a woman.  And by religious values I mean values from the Judeo-Christian realm.  This doesn't mean one should be a bible-thumper.  But it does mean you don't attend Jeromiah Wright's church of hate, or cling to any other psuedo-religion.

Your thoughts?

Democrats are Never Happy

Even when they go to war, it just isn't the same as running an abortion mill.

Thanks Diann for putting my insomnia ideas on canvas!

Intellectual Froglegs: In Person

Catherine the Great and I met with Mr. Intellectual Froglegs in an undisclosed location for a pre-2014 election strategy session.

While the particulars are still top secret, we did agree that between the Democrats and Republicans, the Republicans suck less.  So, in case you were on the fence this year, now you know.  Vote Republican.

The "FU" on his hat stands for Froglegs University.

Some other things I learned today:  Avoid his YouTube channel.  This intellectual giant has had content removed by that commie site.  Yes, the same site that allows videos of be-headings.  I have corrected the Ushanka blogroll to direct fellow comrades to the Intellectual Froglegs website, where you can view his videos, access his articles, view selected videos, sign up for his newsletter, and even access his music library.

Like YouTube, others have tried to muzzle this man's opinions and control his message.  He has resisted and overcome these parasites through the generous donations of his fans, the the buyers of authentic Intellectual Froglegs gear.

This man is going places.  Be sure to follow him now so you can someday tell your grandchildren, "I knew him back in the Days of Hardship."

Cartels Kill American

Breitbart:
HOUSTON, Texas -- An American citizen was beaten to death by drug cartel members while another barely managed to survive the kidnapping and torture just south of the Texas border.
The cartel members were carrying guns.

Obama's lawless immigration and Holder's Fast and Furious combine, and Americans die.

I don't see how this can be stopped without replacing Democrats in DC with those who would put Americans first.  Do you?

WWIII

Mark Levin thinks World War Three has already begun.  I've been toying with the same idea lately too.

I'm pretty good at watching the international scene.  But if I don't know who we're helping in Syria, who we're fighting, and why, is that because I'm not paying attention?  Or is that the Fog of War, as Clausewitz has explained, albeit in the tactical sense?

Regardless if this is WWIII or not, we will not be able to definitely say for a while.  Mark eludes to the fact that it doesn't have to start like other wars to be a war.

Let me use an Obama example to make this point.  Obama isn't a tax-n-spend liberal.  He's a spend liberal.  The first in our lifetime.  Because he does it differently than his liberal predecessors buys him time as his opposition, crippled with political correctness and white guilt, sits dumbfounded as they watch something they do not recognize.

I'm a history buff, but I do not recognize current events.  I look at Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, etc., and I cannot put a label on it.  Caliphate?  Maybe.  A rash of coups?  Perhaps.  The start of World War Three?  Can't say.

What I do know: don't wait for the media to tell you it is WWIII, unless you can wait for a Republican president.  The MSM, so long as a democrat is in the white house, will explain away disaster after battle after genocide after decapitated government until the enemy takes their studios and cuts their teleprompter-reading heads off on live TV.  In this reality of MSM malpractice we really should be asking ourselves "just how bad is it over there right now?"  "What is it we are not being told?"

But it is not just Mark.  Comrade Ann Barnhardt also warned of WWIII two weeks ago.  (I just found this and had to laugh at her take on the media.)  Ann:
Just so you know, World War 3 will be completely unlike the two previous World Wars, so don’t expect it to happen like that, because it can’t.

Europe, for all intents and purposes, has no standing armies, nor could it muster men, even with conscription.  The post-Christian, post-modern man will not fight to defend himself.  He is psychologically emasculated and saturated with self-loathing.  Further, war will never be formally declared.  You will not see the U.K. (whatever is left of it), France, Germany or the U.S. declare war on anyone, ever.  That’s all over.  For the U.S., that ended with World War 2.  You all know that the U.S. never declared war in Korea, Vietnam, or anywhere else since World War 2, right?

Additionally, while World War 3 grinds its way forward through time, and as millions upon millions die, the media will continually state that THERE IS NO WAR, and anyone who says that there is a war is just a loon.  And the people will nod their heads, and the body count will rise, but it won’t be WAR you understand, because everything’s fine.  Kinda like how there’s no inflation.  It will be like that.   And the body count will far, far surpass the 70 million of World War 2, perhaps by more than an order of magnitude.
 If this is WWIII....

...can we all agree, right now: F**K FRANCE.

If they surrender again, f**k'em.  If they deny overflight rights and invite muslims into their country by the millions, then we deny shedding American blood on their behalf.  Again.  Again times two.  Oui?

Don't worry.  Their culture is preserved in movies, books, and unshaven armpits. And don't shed a tear over their wine.  We have legalized marijuana.  Dude, who needs wine?

And besides, it'll be interesting to see where France aims their estimated 300 nuclear weapons right before they fold (assuming they don't turn them over to their conquerors...).  I would sign up for basic cable again to watch that.

Chicago: 2 Dead, 31 Wounded

Just another weekend in Rahm "Don't let a crisis go to waste" Emanuel's anti-gun Democrat-controlled city.

A month ago Antonio Smith was shot and killed by four gang members who mistook him as a lookout for a rival gang.  Antonio was 9.  This is the big story this weekend as the four are arrested and charged with first degree murder.  Story w/ video: WGN.

But you may recall, Gov. Pat Quinn abolished capital punishment back in 2011.

Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are on their way to lead the outrage.

On the bright side, winter is coming and the cold weather will save lives.

Rahm will declare a major drop in crime and buy himself another year.

And according to Second City Cop, the rumor today is Commissioner McCarthy may be leaving.  It is good to see someone be held accountable, but his departure will mean nothing for Chicago's citizens.

Imgur Comment of the Day

This photo posted at Imgur with the caption whine: 300,000 People marched in New York City today against climate change. Why isn't this getting any coverage?

Reider100 asks:  You sure this isn't the line for the iPhone?

I'd ask if it is a protest about the coming ice age.  Did you hear that the artic ice cap achieved record mass this past week?  Daily Mail:
The satellite images published here are taken from a further authoritative source, the University of Illinois’s Cryosphere project.

They show that as well as becoming more extensive, the ice has grown more concentrated, with the purple areas – denoting regions where the ice pack is most dense – increasing markedly.
Another comment comes to mind:  Maybe it is the line for the shower....

Here is a photoshop contest photo of Mr. ManBearPig himself I put together back in 2007.  I recall taking 3rd place.

The next time you see the streets crowded like that, it may be to protest the EBT card cancellations...

You can't have a climate change rally without the hammer and sickle.

It is like spending a trillion on stimulus and getting a trillion dollars of infrastructure improvements.
Or like employing a Border Patrol force that.... patrols the border.
Or like a tax agency that respects the privacy of the citizens.
Or a spy agency that chooses to monitor external threats rather than invent internal enemies.
Or a leader who recognizes business owners DID build that.
Or ... oh ... never mind.
