Matt Bracken Interview

Author Matt Bracken was interviewed a couple days ago by Alex Jones.

The interview starts at the 55min mark, and ends with Matt losing his Skype connection at 1:37.

Alex was unaware of Bracken, his books and his articles.  He says this, but it was obvious with all of Alex's interruptions.  I tuned in to hear Matt only, and here are some of the things I heard:
Marxist Uprising.

Marxist take down.

We're going to have an overload of the system.

Electricity has become our oxygen.

1:18:20 mark - Our three parallel systems

I think of it as 1917 in Russia.

1:25:15 mark - We need to prepare for a grid-down scenario in the next year.  Because we are not going to have a Russian Revolution ... through Washington DC and the power stays on.

The militia of one.

There is a lot of digging-in going on.
I don't know if any of these predictions will come true, but I am a consumer of the pessimism in Obama's America with QE, ZIRP, NSA eavesdropping, IRS abuse, a massive enthusiasm for Bernie and Hillary, etc.  Matt is one of the few I listen to.  (Alex is not.)

I think it is better to be aware of these scenarios, prepare within reason, and continue to live life with as little worry as possible.

I highly recommend Matt's Enemies trilogy.  Here is a link to the first book.  It is very entertaining, and more than enough to prove that Matt is an expert at understanding evil.

Further, I recommend Matt's recent essays, both listed in the Ushanka Library at the left.

Matt Bracken's new site.

Karl is Unavailable for Comment

Posts will be light for the next few days.  Please click on the links in the Ushanka blogroll for insightful commentary.

Comrade Mikhail is in town for a visit.  So far we have three things planned.

One, and

two and three:

Not necessarily in that order.

Coming This October

I know I've said this in the past, but this time I mean it:

This is the year

I need a place to stay in Chicago this October.  North side, somewhere near the Red Line.  You get a Glorious Hat and an unlimited supply of Old Style.

I have a prediction for November too, but I'll keep that one quiet for a while.

Quote of the Day

Comrade, author and Glorious Hat model, Ann Sterzinger shares the following on FB:
Here's a generalization of Vox Day's "SJWs always lie" principle: Anyone who thinks of arguments as a win/lose activity rather than a learn/learn proposition isn't worth the time you'll spend arguing with them, because since "winning" is more important to them than the truth, they inevitably resort to lying and bad arguments, and then you wind up wasting your time arguing with crazy bullshit. It can be entertaining from time to time, but unless you can shut them down quickly (which isn't that likely when you're dealing with someone who will resort to anything to "win"; even after they've obviously lost they're going to keep flailing) it's kind of a waste of life.
Unfortunately, those people are 98 percent of the Internet.
This applies to arguing with Bitter Cruzingers too.

My December review of SJWs Always Lie.

Can't Stump the Trump

There is a YouTube channel called "Can't Stump the Trump."  They released a video today that is as entertaining as it is precise.  He (?) hammers the disgraced Bitter Cruzingers, Ben Shapiro and Glenn Beck, in exceptional fashion.

Obviously, this is a pro-Trump video, so skip this if you are a high-information voter.

The best, most entertaining videos this election season are from Intellectual Froglegs, and now Can't Stump the Trump.  Are there others?

Curt Schilling for the Win

Curt Schilling was fired by ESPN for posting this meme on Facebook:

Maybe it says something about the friends I keep, but that meme is pretty mild compared to what I see and comment on every day.

My biggest fear is if Ushanka gets bought out by some big faceless dickless corporate giant like ESPN.  My job security would mimic the lifespan of a fruit fly.  Let's pray Ushanka continues to fly under the radar and this never happens.

NY Votes Today

Or at least they are trying to vote today.

Drudge at 1:40pm:

John Podhoretz, a FB comrade, Bitter Cruzinger and editor of Commentary Magazine, advises his FB friends in NY City to avoid a vote for Trump:

Trump is projected to win 60% of the vote in New York state, assuming New Yorkers get to vote and their votes are counted.

The real nail-biter tonight will be:

Who gets 2nd place on the GOP side?

UPDATED 4.19.16 9pm:

Some people would call Trump's 61% win in NY a "blowout."  And they'd say Cruz's 3rd place finish says everything we need to know about Cruz.

Count me as one of those people.

Yes, I'm gloating, but I'm only gloating at the Bitter Cruzingers, not the loyal Cruz supporters who talk up their candidate rather than talk down mine.

Some early tweets from the Bitter Cruzingers tonight:

Cruz on Sean Hannity radio show today.  Tell me how this does NOT sound like someone losing in the court of public opinion.
"All of this noise and complaining and whining has come from the Trump campaign because they don't like the fact that they've lost five election in a row," Cruz said on Tuesday. The Texas Senator noted that 1.3 million people have participated in the recent contests despite some calling them 'voteless elections'.

"Republicans are uniting behind our campaigns so they are screaming on Drudge--and it's getting echoed--this notion of 'voteless elections' it is nonsense," Cruz said.

"Donald Trump's campaign does not know how to organize on the grassroots, and so when the delegates are elected the real conservative activists show up, they elect delegates and we are winning those elections over and over and over again," Senator Cruz explained to Sean. "I cannot help that the Donald Trump campaign does not seem capable of running a lemonade stand."

"If you lose, don't cry about it, go back and learn how to win an election," Cruz added.
More on Cruz's meltdown at GP (full audio).

CT reports only 22 people showed up at Cruz's Philadelphia rally today.

If I were to guess the reason for the drop in support - and I'm just a simple hat maker here - I'd suggest 'No one wants to vote for a loser.'  Cruz and Kasich, in my opinion, now share the same base: the anti-Trump voters.

On the lighter side, WZ reports that Comrade Bernie was ... wait for it ... kicked out of a hippie commune in 1971 because ... wait some more, its worth it ... he didn't pull his weight.

Is this not the best primary season ever?

UPDATED 4.20.16 10:45am:

Bitter Cruzinger Podhoretz, bitterly clinging to a candidate who took last place last night, chimes in on FB:

241 Years Ago Today

241 years ago today a tyrannical government sent its soldiers to a small town to confiscate the subjects' weapons.  Long story short, the soldiers were stopped at the Old North Bridge outside of town, and after an eight year fight that started that day, the subjects became citizens.

Today's lesson - kill anyone who tries to take your gun.  If possible, pick a scenic place where thousands can visit each year and say a quiet "thank you."

UPDATED 4.21.16:

Glorious Hat owner, Ann Coulter, has a great post at Breitbart:
In all, about 50 Americans were killed in the Battle of Concord. By population, that’s the equivalent of more than 6,000 Americans dying in a single military action today.

But today, Republican political consultants would rather throw away the country those brave patriots died for, than risk their cozy salaries, jobs and status.

So far, seven of the 13 Colonies have spoken: Georgia, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia — and, on the anniversary of Lexington and Concord, New York. All seven held elections, not party-rigged conferences or caucuses. All of them have gone for Trump. It looks like the 13 Colonies are trying to save America, once again.

North Korea's Subway System

EarthNutShell has posted some excellent photos of the Pyongyang subway system.  Theirs was the first foreign visit to these subway stations.

I am amazed and impressed with the art and decor in each station.  I am not surprised by the cleanliness and manners, two attributes of Korean culture I saw first hand in my visit to South Korea years ago.  The national pride is striking.

Not every penny is spent on nuclear warheads and missiles.

Cruz in WY

Congratulations to Cruz for another victory.  This time in Wyoming.

This new form of democracy, where voters aren't bothered to vote, is catching on.  First in Colorado, and now in Wyoming.

As a 'low information voter,' I'd be upset about these faux primaries.  But my candidate continues to poll at 50% in the national polls while this sophisticated candidate uses the fine print to either win delegates without a vote, or redistribute delegates who were already awarded to someone else.

Even the deeply respected Glenn Beck supports this new form of democracy!

It may all be legal.  And everybody knew the rules going into the primaries.

But you'll never convince low-information voters of this.  Those stupid 50% are going to think they've been cheaTed.

And that is why I'm enjoying this primary season.  We get to see the candidates without the marketing.  We get to see the real candidates, their true character, and their values.

In the case of Ted Cruz, we get to see him as Heidi sees him.

Some supporting information - for the record:

Georgia:  (Breitbart) EXCLUSIVE — Trump Campaign: Cruz Staged ‘Attack’ In Georgia To Steal Delegates…’Not Grassroots Activism’.  Thomas Deen, data analyst for the Trump GA campaign:
I was speaking to someone in our third district and he said that they actually re-did the committee and replaced the committee with Cruz members and then passed motions to replace the Trump delegates with Cruz delegates.

Tax Day Funnies

The progressive tax code is brought to you by the progressive Democrat Party.

Unfair is fair, success is bad, and today the government lets you keep 65% of what you earned.

Hopefully these will cheer you up:

Michelle Fields is Not a Good Person UPDATED and BUMPED

[orig post 3.30.16 5pm]

As you know, Trump's campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, has been charged with misdemeanor battery by a Hillary-supporting prosecutor.  Here is a fair version of the story at WND.

I have nothing to add other than a hearty Ushanka Tip to Mr. Trump for standing by Corey during this sham charge.

Instead, I'm using this post to share some images I've collected over the past two days to both keep a permanent record, and to convey my disgust with Michelle Fields.

16 female Bitter Cruzingers used the Michelle Fields' phony claim to pen this stupid letter demanding that Trump fire Corey.

"Lame" has been re-defined by Dana Loesch, Katie Pavlich, Meghan McCain, S.E. Cupp, Mary Katharine Ham, Christine Rosen, Christina Hoff Sommers, Bethany Mandel, Emily Zanotti, Elisha Krauss, Karol Markowicz, Kristen Soltis Anderson, Mona Charen, Sarah Rumpf, Brooke Rogers, and Mary Chastain.

Bitter Cruzinger, John Hawkins, is still at it.  And by "it" I mean pissing away his credibility by supporting the candidate who can't get more than 20% in national polls despite have the nine hours of daily support of Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Mark Levin.

UPDATED 3.31.16 11am:

Glorious Hat owner, Ann Coulter, reminds us: "Never Forget!"

UPDATED 4.3.16 11am:

The Peoples Cube keeps the story alive with this magazine cover and many more hilarious images.

UPDATED and BUMPED 4.13.16 11pm:

The stupid charges on Lewandowski were dropped today.

Gateway Pundit does a great service, asking the SIXTEEN female bloggers/reporters who backed her stupid claim to apologize.  Here are six, although I can only ID two of them.

None have apologized yet.  I'll be sure to ask them if I come in contact with them.  You should too.

Here are some tweets/retweets from people who've pissed away their credibility this election cycle:

UPDATED 4.14.16 8:30am:

Michelle keeps the story alive with this exchange with lawyer and Fox host, Greta Van Susteren (Politico):
Van Susteren added, "Anyone encouraging this young woman to bring a lawsuit is irresponsible to her."

Fields fired back on Twitter, writing, "I think I'll pass on getting legal advice from a Trump shill. Thanks tho."

Responding to this article on Twitter, Van Susteren, a former lawyer, tweeted Thursday morning, "this is silly-I relied on years of experience in court system, she relies on name calling :)"

In the Mail: Breaking Stalin's Nose

Comrade Oleg at The People's Cube just recommended Eugene Yelchin's 2013 book, Breaking Stalin's Nose.  I just ordered my copy, and am looking forward to reading the illustrated book about a young boy growing up in the Soviet Union.
