I'm not linking to this article because I agree with the author - he doesn't give anything to agree or disagree with - but because I did not know what "handgun threat 9" was, nor the acronym "RMT."  Do you? 

The auther correctly concludes "it is out of control," yet he doesn't offer any suggestions.  His digs into right wingers, tea party types and the special operations community go unqualified and give off that Libertarian'ish 'everybody sucks' message.  Did I miss something?

Some short comments from Mr. Steyn.  The first is about Jeb Bush and his suggestion on how to "revitalize the Motor City."

A man who wants to Islamize Detroit because it's worked out so well in Dearborn would seem an odd choice even for the Stupid Party.

With Republicans like Jeb, who needs the Democrats?

Jeb's nonchalance at the state of the union after 6+ years of Obama is, and will be, the scariest thing we face until Iran detonates a nuke in Tel Aviv.  His lack of seriousness, his status-quo approach to the 2016 primaries, and his establishment backing are bad signs for you, me and America.


My Son Died for Ramadi. Now ISIS Has It.

No quotes.  Just a link to an article that should never have been written. 

Obama and the Democrat Party owe this mother, and the many other mothers who lost America's best in Ramadi, an apology.

Correction: they deserve their day in court, just like Nicolae and Elena.

Comrade Adams warns of the "sexual totalitarianism" we face with the homosexual political movement.  The three steps:

1. Interject homosexuality into every discussion on every conceivable topic.
2. Ban those who refuse to affirm homosexuality from the discussion.
3. In the process, reaffirm your commitment to free speech and the importance of open debate and dialogue.

Done. Done. And done.


Coming Home From The War On Terror by Simon Wolfe

The memory of my service has since been tainted as I realized that I was less defending my nation and its people than serving the interests of a government that not only did not care about me, but has increasingly showed itself to hate me. I came back to a country that I did not recognize as the one that I had set out to defend all those years ago. It more closely resembles the war zones I fought in than the country in which I grew up.

Not too unlike what our veterans felt coming back from Vietnam.  They saw the start of the domestic communist movement to destroy America.  Simon makes a good case that we are seeing the end.

It turned out I was fighting for a government that hated me, and everybody like me. This government liked to show me off as an instrument used to protect free speech, but now that I’m home it doesn’t want to hear my opinion. The government found value in my use as a tool but my opinions are labelled as hatred.

Let’s Celebrate the Death of the Mainstream Media! by Kurt Schlichter

All decent, patriotic Americans yearn for the day when the effects of emerging technologies combine with the mainstream media’s insufferable progressive cheer leading to finally destroy it. Its death throes are underway, but it won’t buy the farm overnight. The body of the mainstream media is still shambling along, wreaking havoc, long after it its brain has died. So we need to put down the mainstream media like we would any other mindless zombie.
