LI asks:  Hey, Leon Panetta, why didn’t you speak out when it mattered?

Former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta’s new book, Worthy Fights: A Memoir of Leadership in War and Peace, was released yesterday, and what it reveals has the media gaping—Democrats scrambling for a distraction.

The fact of the matter is that memoirs like Panetta’s always come with the same sort of bombastic “I told you so” fanfare.

Hey Leon, why didn’t you speak up when we needed you most?

LI doesn't offer an answer, yet it is embedded within the story:  Money.

Leon was faced with a values dilemma when he left office:

a) Speak out about the mismangement, bad decisions and utter incompetency immediately, with the intent to influence future decisions that could save lives and maintain the nation's security.  Or,

b) Write a book several years later, posture as if he has values, and profit from the controversy.

Profit over Patriotism is an infliction primarily of the left, but it is everywhere in some degree.

For example, why haven't we seen one resignation associated with Obama's recent order to send 3,000 troops to Africa to contract "fight" Ebola?  Not one general officer who "loves the troops," and not one junior officer assigned to deploy.  Nobody.  The order has nothing to do with national security, and everything to do with an anti-American and reparations agenda.

Save yourself the $$ - don't buy his book.  Any criticism of Obama, now, is insincere and designed for profit.
