English Russia has posted several photos by Vladimir Vorobjev from the 1980s, including these Ushanka hats in the wild:

Remember, these photos are of a time when the Soviet Union was just a few years from collapse, and over 30 years past the terror.  These were 'the good times' in the Soviet experiment.
