Lost Standards

Today's American Thinker cartoon. 

Some might see good news here - that the dear leader has lost his power.

We had a severely pessimistic reaction to this: the loss of standards that would have stopped this man before he allowed Fast and Furious to proceed.  A man who would have thrown every American service member into Benghazi that night.  A man who would have considered the public reactions to the NSA and IRS intrusion into our lives before directing their spying and harassment.  A man who would know that socialized medicine hurts everyone.

We had standards when King George III enacted the Stamp Act.  That was then.
