Our Story

Submitted.

Requested by our dear leader who is collecting stories of gun violence.
While a lieutenant attending a 6-week course at Ft. Bragg in the summer of 1992, the Army housed me at the Marriott Courtyard hotel in Fayetteville NC.  One Saturday morning at 6am I got up to go run.  I walked to the lobby and was grabbed by a black male wearing a bandana over his face and holding a shotgun.  He stuck the shotgun muzzle into my chest, dragged me into the lobby and threw me down.  He proceeded to rob the hotel while I begged for my life on the lobby floor

Please disarm the criminals so no one will have to go through this experience again.
I had a loaded gun.  It was back in my room.

This event did not change my view of guns in any way.  It just reinforced it.

The manager called me an hour later to offer me a complimentary breakfast.  I haven't spent a cent at a Marriott hotel since.

Do you think our dear leader will use our story?
