Another Gun Free Zone Shooting - BUMPED

[orig post 12.16.12 1:29pm]

We decided to wait a few days before posting on the Newtown school shooting.  This is a very emotional event, and many on the Left are already using it to restrict your rights.  For these reasons we took our time.

Comrades, thank you for waiting!

We've learned that the media will get most things wrong as they struggle to fit their liberal progressive communist narrative.  They are incapable of reporting objectively when scoring political points is possible, nor do they have any respect for people who are suffering.  So why do a post where we only regurgitate bad information?

Here is what we knew on Friday:

Many families lost children. (20)

Adults were slaughtered too. (7)

One or more guns were used.

Here is what we know now:

The suspect had a history of mental illness.

The guns he used belonged to someone else.

He was recently denied the purchase of a firearm.

The focus from here forward will be about gun ownership, not the victims. Not about the responsibility of gun owners to secure their firearms.  Not about a community detecting signs in their mentally ill in order to prevent these events.  Not about letting responsible adults carry firearms into schools.

This will not be the last school shooting.

The Debate:

We are going to sit-out the 'national discussion' that is coming.  It is the same after every gun free zone shooting, and nothing new will be said or discovered.  The discussion, for only those who are paying attention, will boil down to three words: Gun Free Zone.

The high body count suggests our politicians will pass some new law.  Maybe.  The motivation for one or more new laws will have absolutely no positive effect, but is instead the communist inspirations of disarming a population.  It isn't the current gaggle of politicians we should worry about.  It is the next group that govern the disarmed masses.

The Blame:

Moral Nihilism is the rejection of traditional family and religious values.  The Democrat Party is determined to replace both God and parent with government, and the Newtown school shooting is part of the script.

Dilute and destroy family values and religious values, and you get mass murder.  Destroy the two-parent family, and you will get mass murder.  Convince our young that evil does not exist, and you get mass murder.

Moral Nihilism is part of a plan.

The Laws:

SayUncle says some were broken:

A 20 year-old had a couple of handguns (illegal). And, depending on the press report, had an assault weapon (illegal), automatic rifle (illegal), or machine gun (illegal). Shot his mom in the face (illegal). Stole his mom’s vehicle (illegal). Transported the gun in the vehicle (illegal) within 1,000 feet of a school (illegal). Carried it onto school property (illegal). Broke and entered (illegal). Carried a gun in a school (illegal). Discharged a firearm (illegal). Shot at people (illegal). Killed some people (illegal). Killed himself (not sure if illegal).

The Second Amendment.  From Scumf**k in Babylon (read it all):

...the man that wants to disarm me, whether a random crazy hobo in the parking lot to the highest authority in the land, only wants to do so because he is going to do something to me that I could prevent by using a weapon. Whatever that agenda is that requires me to be helpless, it cannot be good.

Mental Illness:

We have no experience with this, nor any suggestions.

A FB Comrade shared this blog post from The Ananrchist Soccer Mom that is worth reading.

Our $0.02:

The gun control noise has been deafening, and we think we know why.  Despite a Republican majority in Congress, few have faith in the Republicans to represent their interests.  In other words, we do not have a defense against tyranny in Washington DC.

The Republicans abandoned any fiscal conservatism when they rushed to the fiscal-cliff negotiating table to remove the mortgage deduction from our tax laws.  We want a simple tax code like any conservative, but to abandon a law that encourages home ownership - a key American Dream item - is wrong.  To lead with it in negotiations is liberal.

The Republican Party is adrift.  Look at the last two presidential elections and tell me what we stand for.  Conservatism wasn't on the ballot in 2008 - politeness was.  Conservatism wasn't on the ballot in 2012 - competence was.

Unlike the Clinton gun ban, this is end game.  Two facts about any coming legislation: 1) it won't prevent a school shooting like the recent shooting in CT, and 2) it won't have an expiration date.

A poem read to Congress by Darrell Scott, father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine School Shooting.

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You've stripped away our heritage,
You've outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question "Why?"
You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

No Hitler Video

Usually a Hitler video signals the death of a story or movement, but not this time.  The MSM has announced that there will be no gun control.

Byron York, Washington Examiner: Obama, Reid slam brakes on gun control.

With President Obama’s announcement of a commission to study and recommend ways to reduce gun violence, the two most important Democrats in government — Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid — have both indicated a desire to slow the momentum toward gun control in the wake of the Newtown, Connecticut school shootings. The president’s decision to appoint a blue-ribbon panel — the classic Washington ploy to defuse and delay consideration of an issue — along with Reid’s inaction on the gun question will undoubtedly frustrate many in their party who want immediate action.

I dont like the statment this cartoon is trying to make. I am an American, The of an American is of more worth to me than a someone far away. And if a thousand little rosy cheeked english kids got killed i'd probably be more sad about that than the thousand african kids, it still pains me to think of children being killed regardless of race, but i am an american and i care about americans foremost.
