So, as you already know, Sarah Palin mis-spoke in an interview recently. She called North Korea our ally rather than South Korea.

The reason you know this is because the liberals progressives communists in the MSM went wild with it. And who can blame them? It is far harder work to report Iran's nuclear progress, report on the damages, deaths and injuries caused by North Korea's artillery strike, or any of the other dozen or so critical national security threats that exist right this minute.

So, Gov. Palin responds with a post in her Facebook page:

If the media had bothered to actually listen to all of my remarks on Glenn Beck’s radio show, they would have noticed that I refer to South Korea as our ally throughout, that I corrected myself seconds after my slip-of-the-tongue, and that I made it abundantly clear that pressure should be put on China to restrict energy exports to the North Korean regime. The media could even have done due diligence and checked my previous statements on the subject, which have always been consistent, and in fact even ahead of the curve. But why let the facts get in the way of a good story?

Her gift: She talks above these MSM losers, over their heads, straight to the people. She is their biggest fear, and one of only a few in a position to save this country.

An American Kulak

Lenin targeted the middle-class Soviet farmer first. Labeled the Kulak, this farmer was slightly different than the peasant farmer as he own a horse, or land, or both. 250 acres? You're a Kulak. Are you turning a profit at farming? You're a Kulak.

Three years after Lenin's takeover the Soviets suffered their first mass famine. Like all Soviet famines to follow, it had nothing to do with weather or other natural event. It had to do with big government. In this first famine, it was the removal of Kulaks from the farms. As you can guess, their success was what made them a target, but it was their productivity that could not be replaced.

Un-intended consequences always follow liberalism, and people either suffer or die. Always.

Leap Put Options - BUY BUY BUY

Obama gets to play Capitalist today as GM goes public. Again.

This is a fraud, and if we had any $$ we'd be buying so many put options the SEC would start an investigation.

Let's review:

Obama nationalizes GM. "It is too big to fail."

Obama forces TARP on healthy banks. This provides him the ability to dictate bank behavior.

GM goes private. Some accounting issues. "Nothing to see here."

The Unions take over. A puppet is appointed CEO and lasts a year or so. He said: "I don't know anything about cars."

The puppet says GM paid back its debt to the US government. Neglects to clarify that the debt paid was for a Bush-era loan, not the bailout balance of tens of billions.

Obama does cash for clunkers. Another spending program intended to spike GM sales. Buyers choose Toyota instead.

The puppet unveils the Volt - a reverse hybrid POS that runs on electric, then switches to a gas engine. The only buyers of the Volt are - wait for it - the US government.

Obama grants GM a $45 billion tax break one month before the GM IPO. Purpose - this was the only way GM could post profits after going public.

Obama uses his power over the banks to fund today's IPO.

Oh ya - those accounting issues are still open at GM.

This is make believe. Obama is a make-believe capitalist, GM is a make-believe car company, and GM stock is a make-believe investment.

About the same number voted for gay marriage in California in 2008.
And according to the Yahoo home page, 40% believe marriage is obsolete.

Allow us to repeat ourselves. The common trait among Communists and the Nazis then, and the Democrat party today, is moral nihilism. The attack on family and religious values in order to place a highest-authority government in the role of raising the children and defining morality.

It is the mission of every American who prioritizes family and religious values to express these values to others and to lead by example. If you do not - all will be lost.

Thursday Night Cigar

We smoked a Camacho SLR in honor of our soldiers on this Veteran's Day.

We found the hat on parade at English Russia. Pics are from a recent 1941 Red Square re-enactment. If you'll recall, Moscow was a tense place to be in November 1941. Stalin was about to flee the city as the Germans came a-knock'in, but in a rare show of leadership he chose to stay. It may have been the reason the USSR defenses held. That and the abhorent manner in which the USSR deployed their forces.

Here is another hat. This is the US Army Ranger beret of the 75th Rangers. It is fitting on a day like this to post this hat. We had the honor of training with Rangers at Fort Benning many years ago. It is our belief that if the libs trash every other element of our military, if a Ranger Battalion is still intact, the US is secure.

While we conservatives suffer as our political opponents are dispersed among us at work and in our neighborhoods, so too are the pinko commies surrounded by their opponents.

We agree with Glenn that this is just talk with the hope that someone with a Gaston flag bumper sticker will act first and complete the narrative that conservatives are violent. We suspect if the Left starts something, however, the Right will be seen as violent as we expect the Right to finish whatever the Left starts.

They have to learn how to fight first.

There was a Lenin statue in Kiev that had been vandalized. It appears Lenin has come back and has offered his opinion of the Tea Party's great revolutionary success in this past week's elections.

The real story is the underreported story of the night — the Republican pick ups at the state level.

There will be 18 states subject to reapportionment. The Republicans will control a majority of those — at least ten and maybe a dozen or more. More significantly, a minimum of seventeen state legislative houses have flipped to the Republican Party.

The North Carolina Legislature is Republican for the first time since 1870. Yes, that is Eighteen Seventy.

The Alabama Legislature is Republican for the first time since 1876.

For those saying this is nothing because it is the South, consider these:

The entire Wisconsin and New Hampshire legislatures have flipped to the GOP by wide margins.

The State Houses in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Montana, and Colorado flipped to the GOP.

The Maine and Minnesota Senates flipped to the GOP.

The Texas and Tennessee Houses went from virtually tied to massive Republican gains. The gains in Texas were so big that the Republicans no longer need the Democrats to get state constitutional amendments out of the state legislature.

These gains go all the way down to the municipal level across the nation. That did not happen even in 1994.

This was a tsunami.

Another un-reported benefit from yesterday's election:

It appears Wisconsin has the votes to go from the most restrictive gun-rights state to our next Shall Issue (concealed carry) state. Illinois too, perhaps?

UPDATE 4pm:

We asked fellow ushanka wearing John Lott about the Concealed Carry opportunities in Wisconsin and Illinois. And he replied!

Wisconsin seems safe for concealed carry with solid Republican wins at all levels.

Illinois will depend on who wins the governor's race right now (the Dem is very slightly in the lead) and they have kept the state legislature. But the legislature is more Republican and they could have passed something before.

We just voted in Ohio. We had to show ID, and sign next to an image of a past signature. The lady studied both our ID and signature. SEIU & Black Panthers were nowhere in sight. Cool.
