An awkward dinner with The Man last night:

Let's look at some of the most egregious #NeverTrump efforts from this past year.  The comments became so unhinged and unprofessional that I kept screenshots.  Here are about 20% of them.

Why do I keep posting this list?
1) While most of these people are conservatives who share my values, many behaved like liberals by telling me what was wrong with my candidate rather than tell me what was good about theirs.  Shameful behavior.
2) Many of these people consider themselves 'thought leaders' in conservative circles, yet they either missed the Trump Phenomenon and the anger that fueled it, or they chose to counter it for personal gain.  Many still claim a more enlightened perspective, but I've stopped listening to their ideas and predictions.  If they couldn't see the Trump Phenomenon, what good are they?
3) Some have jumped onto the Trump Train after their attempt to stifle or sabotage it.  Of these, some have suffered a reduction in listeners/readers and thus ad revenue.  The others are suffering in the polls for an upcoming race or have some other career reason to show support now.  In both cases, personal gain was the reason for going #NeverTrump, and personal gain is the reason some of them now support Trump.
4) #NeverTrumpers are Republicans who chose to not support the Party's nominee.  Since I could vote I have always supported the nominee.  I was always loyal. I assumed my fellow Republicans shared this loyalty.  Are the #NeverTrumpers telling me I don't have to be loyal anymore?

5) The #NeverTrumpers were quick to call me "stupid" or a "low information voter." I've learned with liberals that these labels are the signal that I've won.  #NeverTrumpers aren't any different than liberals.  The Internet is forever, and Ushanka never forgets.

The first post-election #NeverTrump addition to the list goes to PJ Media for their unprofessional representation of the Russian lawyer nothingburger.  While the details are still debated, it is fact that even if all the accusations were true there would still be no actual law broken.  If someone requests a meeting with Candidate A with an offer of information bad for Candidate B, Candidate A may take the meeting.  Idiots.

MSM Election 2016 Video

Here is our fifth election-year MSM video:

How the Marxists can stick with these losers is beyond me. The old-media is nothing but a group-think echo-chamber full of out-of-touch blowhards spewing outdated opinions about failed policies.  They did a disservice to America's liberals in 2016, and to anyone else who may have been watching while waiting for their flight.

Last Gasp - The Recount

The biggest thing that worries me about Jill Stein's recount efforts in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania is that I consider the entire effort a joke, a fraud, a source of amusement and a brilliant money-making idea from such an anti-business liberal.  Over $7 million raised so far, and apparently they missed the deadline in PA, and Wisconsin won't cooperate with their hand-count plan that would delay the inauguration.  So Jill gets to pocket that money if the recalls don't go, right?  Can I get in on that?

So, with that in mind, the only thing worth sharing on the recall effort are these funny images the Ushanka comrades have been sharing on FB.  (You thought I had something of substance to share?)

If Jill Stein somehow succeeds in delaying or overturning the election, I'll plan to join you in the streets.

Quote of the Day

WARNING: PROFANITY.

Here is something you won't hear in the old-media, and something you won't see in their elaborate, scientific polls.

I'm listening to The Betchloff's Saturday Night Livestream and he has a guest on who is black, a former Democrat, and who grew up in Detroit.  He expresses the mood within the black community that steered a small, yet historically significant, portion of the black vote to Mr. Trump.

33:27 -
These people...  And I'm going to sound really angry and brooding when I say stuff like this.

I'm so God damn angry at the Democrats.  They used my whole fucking race like, like ammunition in a gun.  That they could just unload and then throw the fuck away.  And we just fell like shell casings on the ground.  They didn't give a fuck.  They didn't give a fuck.

And they just dragged us the fuck in to this plantation made out of welfare checks. Just soaked in drugs and slaughtered by gangs.  They didn't give a fuck.  They didn't give a shit about what the hell was happening to us.

And when black people were too uneducated, and too weak and too drug addled to vote for them anymore, they decided they were going to bring in the Mexicans and do the same thing.  I almost feel sorry for the Mexicans.  Because they are going to be used the same fucking way.
I remember in the late 90's the Democrats were bleating about "the digital divide."  How the lower-income folks (code for blacks) didn't have access to the Internet and were thus at a disadvantage.  Of course, their solution was to hammer businesses to roll-out services to places that didn't have the money to pay for it.  And more government spending too.

Well, that digital divide is gone.  You liberals like apples?

How do you like them apples?

Go listen!

Replacing the Nolan Chart BUMPED - UPDATED Spectrum

[orig post 11.26.16 1pm]

I've hated the Nolan Chart for as long as I can remember.

The Nolan Chart is one of the most recognized political spectrum images on the subject.  It is also misleading, outdated, and is due for a replacement.

It's only use lately has been as a recruitment tool for the Libertarian Party.  And judging by their dismal performance in recent elections, they should be ready to scrap it too.

Flaws to be corrected:
  • The Libertarian block is the same size as the others, yet Libertarians have only achieved 1-3% in recent national elections.
  • The Libertarian block is at the top, and can mislead newcomers to the topic of politics that it represents a superior ideology.
  • The Libertarians cover both right and left in the chart.  True in the past, but not in 2016.  The left Libertarians voted for Hillary, Jill or Gary.  Some were likely Bernie supporters during the primaries.  The right Libertarians are more likely to identify as Alt-Right now.
  • Left Wing and Totalitarian are mostly one block of voters now.  Obama enjoyed support from moderates as he also received endorsements from several socialist and communist organizations including the Communist Party USA.
  • The Moderate block is too large for the politicized environment of 2016.
The Nolan chart “divided political opinions into two vectors – economic opinion and personal opinion.”   I don't think these are relevant anymore.  Not a single Hillary voter cared about the $20T debt nor the decline in family and religious values in America.  And not a single Trump voter was trying to extend EBT benefits for themselves or halt gay marriage with their vote.

I think a return to a two-dimensional spectrum is in order.  And with the popular vote numbers now available, we can map it out with some accuracy.

With each square representing one million votes, here is my view of America's current political alignment, based on the 2016 popular vote:

The only question now is how extreme each electorate has become.  I think both sides are heavy on the ends.  I think the Democrats are stretched into a very extreme orientation.

Your thoughts?

UPDATED 11.27.16 5:30pm:

I've received some great suggestions both here and on FB.  One change that I feel compelled to make is to identify the illegal alien votes on Hillary's side.  One fraud-watch group puts the number at 3 million, or three squares on the chart above.  I'm going to give it a few days in case there is a more accurate estimate.

Trump tweeted today:
In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally.
BUMPED 11.28.16 3:45pm:

Two sources put the illegal vote estimate at 3 million.  I've updated the Spectrum image with this information.  I assume only a few of these are radical 'La Raza' types, while others just want a piece of the 'Free Stuff' and prefer amnesty over the legal route to citizenship.

Sources:
UncleSamsMisguidedChildren: How many illegals voted in the 2016 Presidential Election?  Their source: TrueTheVote.

InfoWars: Report: Three Million Votes in Presidential Election Cast by Illegal Aliens.  Their source: VoteFraud.org.
In the past I would hesitate to use these sources.  But 2016 has shown these sources are far more reliable than any of the old-media outlets.
